Well, Smax drew me a picture, but tell me if this makes any sense:
In Photoshop's "curves" adjustment
Green channel, anchor point in top of lower left quadrant, make a convex arc.
Blue channel, anchor point in the middle, make a convex arc.
Red channel, anchor points in the middle and in the bottom of the upper right quadrant, make a concave arc.
RGB channel, make an S-curve with anchor points in the lower left and upper right quadrants.
