Summary: Katara has been thinking of a certain boy. (It's so obvious.)

Thanks to

The whole group was surrounding the camp fire while they ate and chatted with each other. The moon behind blankets of clouds showed itself proudly, even though it was only a quarter of it. It seemed like it had its own magical, calming blue glow when lighting up the night like a huge flash light. Or a lantern in their case.
Aang had noticed Katara and Zuko had been spending time together and didn't like it. In his mind, Katara was his girl and had even kissed her before the invasion started. Despite her kissing him back, Katara was still free. He poked at his food with his chop sticks before he felt Appa licking him.
Laughing, Aang turned toward the bison and hugged him. "Thanks buddy." Appa let out a little roar before licking Aang once more.
When everyone was finished, they all headed into their tents for the night. Katara's mind was buzzing with what to do and hers wasn't the only one. Figuring taking a walk would help clear her mind, she snuck out of her tent and tip-toed away. Katara was quite surprised that Toph didn't wake up suddenly and ask her just where the heck she was going.
Katara made sure she didn't wonder off too far so that she could find her way back. She finally sat down on a boulder before putting her chin on her knees. Why do I keep thinking about him? Katara looked up at the sky and was a bit blinded by the moon's light at first before her eyes got used to it. After what he's done, I should feel...different towards him. Katara let out an frustrated sigh while burying her head.
"So this is where you went, Sugar Queen."
Katara didn't need to look, nor think, who that was since Toph only called her that. "Hey Toph," she mumbled.
"Couldn't sleep?"
Katara shook her head, "No. You?"
Toph made her own boulder before sitting down. "Nah, just wanted to see where you went." The both of them laughed. "Thanks Toph," said Katara while pulling her head back up.
"Listen Sugar Queen. Most people don't wander off at night unless they have something buggin' them."
Right on the money.
"So, tell me what's on your mind," finished Toph while she wiggled her toes. Katara shifted her legs so that they would be crossed before leaning back. "It's just...I don't know. Every time I spend more...time with him, I just-"
"Whoa, you talking about Twinkletoes?! I never knew you two were a thing!"
"We aren't."
"Oh. Soo..., is it Haru?"
"No!" Katara caught herself quickly and whispered, "Not him either!"
"Well then? Who is it? I know it's not your brother since that would be...wrong." It suddenly clicked into Toph's head. "No way! Do you mean Zuko?!" Katara almost jumped before putting her hand on Toph's mouth. "Shh! Not so loud!"
"Okay, okay," said Toph while pulling away. "Wow, I can't believe this. You, the Sugar Queen, is thinking about Mr. Down."
"...Mr. Down?"
"Hey, I found it funny."
Katara looked to the side in disbelief. "Never mind. You'll just keep teasing me at this rate." Toph started laughing, "Oh come on. Have some laughs every now and then. At this rate, I think Sugar Queen will be turned into Ice Queen - which will make it even more funny since you like him." Toph was in a fit of laughter now and Katara couldn't help but smile.
Unlike before, she knew that Toph meant well and was only trying to cheer others up, even though it may not seem like it. "Hmm. So, what are you going to do?" Toph heard Katara let out a heavy sigh. "Don't know, huh?" Toph would think a moment before shooting up immediately. Katara almost fell off the boulder she was sitting on in shock.
"Toph? What the-"
"Tell him!"
"-heck are- wait what?!"
Toph would point in the wrong direction, "You must tell him! Who knows, he just might like you too!"
Katara face palmed, "I doubt it. My brother told me he has a girlfriend." Now that made Toph's arm sag. "Oh...well damn. That sucks."
"What does?"
Katara and Toph flinched at the voice. "Oh, Suki. You scared me," said Katara while she looked to see who it was. Suki laughed while walking over to them. "So, is this a girl's night out or what? And why wasn't I invited?"
Toph gestured towards Katara, "She has boy problems." Suki tilted her head while Katara buried her head once more. "Who is the lucky guy? Aang?" Katara shook her head, "No."
"Hmm..."
"It's Zuko," said Toph in a blunt tone.
"Zuko?" Suki blinked and patted Katara's head. "Wow, now this is new. Not to mention interesting." Suki would bend down just a bit, "So? Does he know?"
"That's the problem, he doesn't know since Sugar Queen knows he has a girlfriend."
"Okay, I'm gonna go now," said Katara, not being able to withstand anymore of this conversation. Suki and Toph begged her to come back but it was no use since Katara had started to run.
"I hope we didn't make her mad," said Suki.
"Nah, Sugar Queen isn't that uptight."
Toph was quite wrong with that statement. Katara finally arrived at her tent and was too tired to even notice that the so called tent was Zuko's until she actually saw his sleeping form. Freezing, she looked at his sleeping face. Even with the scar, Zuko looked peaceful and she couldn't help but stare at him. After he had helped her find the man that killed her mother, the both of them had become quite close.
When she noticed Zuko was moving, she blinked out of trance before watching him. Katara watched how he moved upon his right side and saw each muscle underneath his pale skin move with each moment. She never knew just how beautiful a male body was until now since she had a better look up close.
This is wrong. I'm invading his privacy. Gathering her wits, Katara quietly walked out of the tent before heading toward her own. When she got in, she laid down upon the furs and got into a comfortable position before closing her eyes.
Sometime during the night, she had gone out to go to the restroom and was too tired to even realize that she, once again, went into the wrong tent. This pillow is quite nice to snuggle into. Katara had wrapped her arms around the said pillow like an innocent child. Zuko didn't notice her at all.
That is, until he awoke three hours before they were all supposed to be up for the day. What he saw was a bed head Katara snuggling up to him like he was some sort of teddy bear. The image was completely priceless but it was still shocking. A line of red was marring upon his cheeks and the bridge of his nose by the close contact of a girl. The only one he had been close to was Mai but actually feeling all of Katara's body was not even close.
Wanting to get rid of her, Zuko nudged Katara to try and wake her but it was no use. She just groaned and mumbled gibberish. So, Zuko tried to get out of her grasp but that failed too. It was like she had an iron like grip or something of the sort.
Luckily for him, Katara started to wake up and after a few blinks, Katara immediately let go of him and shot up - even pushing herself away. "What the - what is the meaning of this?!"
"Shh!"
"Oh..." Correcting herself, she repeated herself in a whisper, "What's going on?! What are you doing in my tent?!"
"Your tent? This is my tent," Zuko whispered back.
"No, this is my tent!"
"I highly doubt you would have this ripped up and poor used tent to be yours," he shot back. Katara tried to say something back but it just wouldn't come out. So, she crossed her arms and looked away. "What are you implying? I could've sworn I went to my tent."
"Then you must have sleep walked."
"I don't sleep walk," hissed Katara.
"Whatever," said Zuko while rubbing his forehead. Katara mumbled something that didn't reach Zuko's ears fully. "I...." Zuko turned to her, waiting for her to finish. "I'm sorry."
"No big deal. It happens to everyone," he said while he laid back down. Katara didn't move a muscle, just kept staring at the ground. Zuko had realized she hadn't left yet and sat up while rubbing his eyes. He even let out a little yawn.
"All right, what's wrong Katara?"
Katara blinked and looked at him. "Wrong? There's nothing wrong."
Zuko looked at her with disbelief, "You're a horrible liar. If there was nothing wrong, you wouldn't be so quiet." Katara shook her head stubbornly, "No."
"Why not?"
"I just...have a lot things on my mind."
Zuko looked at her with a critical eye, but she did tell the truth - just not all of it. "What sort of things?" It was when she started to fidget that he noticed something was really bothering her. "Just spill it out, Katara. It's better-"
"I can't stop thinking about you," blurted out Katara.
"-that...way...," continued Zuko right after she interrupted him with her confession. There was a very long pause in between them, which made both of them feel awkward. They both stared at each other as if to search for something. What was it? They didn't know, but somehow they found it unconsciously inside each others eyes. Both of their eyes held a strong emotion towards each other. The very emotion that they thought they already given to another, but this one...
This one was different and much stronger.
Zuko had been thinking about her as well but was also confused just as her why he felt this way toward another girl when he loved - or so he thought - Mai.
It was like his arm moved on its own toward her so that it would offer his hand while he kept eye contact with her. "I couldn't stop thinking about you either," he said with a little flush appearing on his face. Katara looked at the hand. If I take his hand now, everything will be different from now on...
With a quick and hard pull from Zuko, Katara would find herself once more near him. His other hand caressed her cheek before it glided down her neck. Katara would bring up a hand to caress Zuko's scar, which caused him to close his eyes like he did once before in a cave in Ba Sing Sei. She brushed her fingernails against the scarred cheek before looking at his ear.
"I've always wondered if that hurt."
"Only when I sleep on it."
The both of them chuckled softly at the lame joke while Katara looked at the scar. "I remember first seeing your scar. I thought it must hurt really bad and how could you deal through that pain."
Zuko's facial expression shifted into a frown at the memory. "The pain when I got it was even worse than it does now." He remembered how the flames licked his fingers like a hungry golem. It was a surprise that he could still see out of that eye but not so much because of the lids had moved into a squint like look.
He then realized something. Mai had never talked about his scar nor did she touch it without pity. Katara, on the other hand, did. Even though she offered to heal it, it was her way to show that she cared about others. Zuko started to lean towards her while his hand that was once caressing her neck, wrapped around her like one of the dragons he and Aang had seen.
Katara was surprised. She thought that Zuko was a rough male but right now, it was the complete opposite. Her arms seemed to wrap themselves around Zuko and she couldn't help but notice that he was warm and really did feel like a pillow. Katara laughed with her eyes at that thought while she met Zuko halfway with a kiss.
The kiss was like a complete wake up call.
For Katara, it felt way more than with Aang's shy kisses. For Zuko, it had more emotion and warmth than with the kisses he had with Mai's. Since Aang didn't know much about kissing, she was lucky that Zuko already knew how. Boy, did he know too. Katara started to grasp his face with her hands, not even caring about the scar while she learned from Zuko on how to kiss.
The lips upon hers coaxed hers while moans escaped from the both of them. Zuko started to run his hands through the locks of her dark hair. Unlike Mai's, it was wild and yet still well kept in an ordinary way. It was just like his actually.
When they had to pull away for air, they just stared at each other. "...enough," mumbled Katara. Zuko looked at her in confusion. "Not....ah, enough," she said before she initiated the next kiss. She got so carried away that Zuko had to catch himself from falling down with his hands. "Careful," he said before kissing her back.
This feeling was so foreign to the both of them. They wanted more of each other and not just because they were both considered "beautiful" and "handsome" in other people's eyes, but because they wanted to find out more about each other. Their hands explored in complete innocence above the clothing. The way they felt the other and found a sensitive area, made them each want more.
They were hungry like demons.
When an hour came and left, they were both reluctant to separate from each other. But, if they didn't, the others would find out. That's when they both decided to keep this little secret from the others until the time they had to tell them came.
Giving each other's hands a squeeze and a loving glance, Katara would part away like the moon while Zuko slept like the sun.

Phew. I hope that was okay since it was sort of hard for me. If you have any feedback, please tell me since I would like to get better.
