i. After walking the guy next to me in Russian through his homework, I offered to help him out/study with him/reteach him before the cumulative final. I feel so bad for him. He has never taken a foreign language before, and he thought Russian would be easy. It was the nice thing to do, and it wasn't entirely a whim, but at the same time I walked out thinking, and when exactly are you going to do this? Eh. Oh well. Helping others doubles my own retention. I'll justify it as my own studying.

ii. WHY DO I HEAR WIND CHIMES. I swear there's a horror movie going on in the townhouse behind me. First the super creepy piano music, then my dryer blows hot air into my townhouse even while unplugged, and now wind chimes. Time for really crappy music to compensate as I clean the bathroom sharing a wall. I'm feeling Ke$ha.

iii. (Back story: the radio station in the dish room plays like 5 different songs and it drives all of us insane.)

Me, about to walk away and train someone on how to pull trays: *points to radio playing Teenage Dream, twitches*
Joe: *sadism*
Me: You know, if I were someone's teenage dream, I'd GO TO JAIL. I'm 23.
Joe: *cracks up* That is statutory. I'm 22. Awesome.
Me: *shows new girl the very sophisticated task of dumping food in the disposal*
Joe: *comes up* Actually, you wouldn't go to jail for statutory. You'd go to jail because they'd call you a MILF and you'd kill them.
Me: *lol* I HATE YOU BECAUSE YOU'RE RIGHT.

iv. Andrea's dogsitting this weekend so I can go binge drink in Tally. I'm paying her by letting her do her laundry at my place. She is ecstatic. Leeann and Megan want to dogsit too. They won't even demand laundry privileges. Excellent.

v. I now know a Congressman. Conveniently, right around the time I need to start looking for internships/etc in DC. He's a charter member of my church at home.

vi. I need a second job soon, because the dining hall won't be open over the holidays when the dorms are closed. I checked my voice mail, and a primary school in the next little town over (like 30 minutes, no big deal) that I applied as a part time assistant teacher in August has a position and wants to know if I want an interview. Hmmmm.

vii. Creeper at work lurked but did not do anything. There were tense moments on my part when he was just hanging around behind me, given, but nothing worth twitching about.

Despite the shit-tastic weather, I'm a pretty happy panda. Also, I looked cute today, and my hair stayed straight. My anti-humidity hairspray wins.

god's timing is awesome.

future, undergrad part 2, creeper alert, happy relax, squee, transcript, job hunting ends better if you're illega, how to get a boyfriend, awesome sauce
