too busy freaking out to decide anything.

I wish there was a quantitative list for When To Euthanize Your Pet. Not this "when you feel it's right" bullshit. MY FEELINGS ARE EXTREMIST AND IRRATIONAL. Don't let me, tell me, to make big decisions based on feelings!

She's got some kind of pulmonary lung disease--and possibly more. It's terminal. She's 6.4 pounds. She's breathing out like, 1.3 lungs. There's blood in her urine--although that could have been stress-based. She's feverish. She won't eat. She is drinking some. She got a steroid shot and some antibiotics.

If she were cooperative and not carsick, I could drive her 5 hours to fucking Gainesville and pay UF almost $1000 to knock her out and take a better look at what exactly is going on in her lungs. Fuuuuuuuck.

I sucked it up and asked Dr. Fav about putting her down. He said she's in that gray area right now, assuming she responds to medicine (hard to do that if she won't ingest anything). It would be okay to do it now. It would be okay to wait. He'll say something if we push it too far.

But I'd rather do it too soon than too late. And I didn't cry until I got in the car again. Go me! No crying in public!

The vet's office closes in 2 hours. Mom should be home soonish. I am probably going to bawl all over her and see if I can get her to decide something.

I will not drink my sorrows away. Because they'll still be there when I sober up, and then I'll have a hangover too.

ihmawtd, i r serious post, cats
