An emergency

To truly understand this storyline, you should start at the beginning Dream Castle and read it in order.

Dream castle

The youma's last attack went whizzing by, flying between Sailor Moon and Sailor Mars. Mars turned to Moon. "Now is your..." She dissolved into a coughing fit, wrapping her hands around her stomach. With each cough, the air she pulled in was less and less each time.

Mercury cast her a worried look as Jupiter moved between her and the monster.

Casting a worried look at her friend, Moon began her ultimate attack. "Moon Healing Escalation!" The creature dissolved into the air, but none of the senshi were watching. They were clustered around Mars.

"Are you okay?" Moon knelt next to where Mars had slumped to the ground, her breathing sounded like she had been running hard.

Mercury rested her fingers against her wrists, her eyes focused inward as she took her pulse.

"We have to get her to the hospital." Jupiter released her transformation. "And we have to hurry."

The other senshi followed Jupiter's example as Lita scooped Raye up and started towards the nearest one. Mina pulled out her cell phone and called 911. "We need an ambulance, my friend is having trouble breathing."

Amy looked from Raye to Mina. "Tell them that it looks like an asthma attack, but she hasn't been diagnosed as having that disorder." She glanced at Raye to confirm that last statement. Raye wheezed and nodded in agreement.

Mina told the operator what Amy said and then gave their location. Hanging up the phone, she gestured for everyone to stop. "They said to wait here. The ambulance is on its way."

Serena pulled out Raye's phone. "I should call your Dad, right? Or can I reach your Mother easier?" She scrolled down the phone book looking for their numbers. Finding Raye's Mother's cell number, she called it.

Lita called Raye's grandfather while Serena was talking to voice mail. "Ms. Hino? This is Serena, a friend of Raye's. She is having trouble breathing and we are taking her to the emergency room." She hit the end button and scrolled to find Raye's Dad's number. She wasn't any more successful, so she left an identical message. The ambulance pulled up as she looked over at Lita. "Any better luck?"

Lita nodded yes as the EMTs checked Raye over and helped her into the ambulance. "He is going to met us there."

Amy quietly got permission for them to ride in the ambulance. None of them noticed the woman that followed them.

The ER waiting room was full. Amy told the admittance nurse all that they knew while the others encircled Raye and peered about, hoping to see her grandfather. A set of double doors opened quickly and rapid footsteps approached her. "Amy? Are you okay? What happened?"

The nurse looked amazed as the normally calm Dr. Mizuno looked worriedly at the girl.

Amy gave her mother a reassuring smile. "I'm fine. Raye isn't though." She gestured to where Raye was sitting.

"Are her parents coming? Does she have her insurance information on her?" Dr. Mizuno looked worriedly at her daughter's friend.

"Her grandfather is on his way. I think he has the right to admit her. We couldn't reach her parents, but we left them messages." She flipped open Raye's cell phone. "I was about to give Nurse Tyler their numbers. Maybe she will have better luck."

Their eyes met briefly as Dr. Mizuno reassured herself once again that Amy was fine. "Okay, if you can't reach them, I have their work numbers in my cell... never mind Raye should have them. I need to get back to work. I'm going to be late getting home tonight."

"Can stay over at Raye's late tonight then if they release her?"

Dr. Mizuno answered over her shoulder as she headed back towards the door she had just come through. "Yes, but not too late." The door closed behind her.

Maritza watched the exchange while keeping a watchful eye on Sailor Mars. It was her first full day in town, and she had been happy to finally get to see the other figures from her dream. They fought daringly, defeating the monstrosity that was attacking them fairly easily. But this looked bad. Mars' breathing had not settled out much, she was still fighting to draw in air. 'Where are the girl's parents? They can't admit her without a guardian to sign her in. That must be why she is still sitting there and not being helped.' The door next to her opened, admitting an elderly man who made a bee line for Mars and her friends. 'Maybe this is her grandfather?' The relief in the senshi's eyes convinced her that he was.

"Grandfather!" Mina smiled at him in relief.

Amy gestured him over to the counter. "I don't know all the information that they need."

"I'll take it from here, thank you Amy." Grandfather patted her arm and turned to Nurse Tyler. "I am Raye Hino's grandfather, and I have the right to have her seen." He pulled out his wallet and temporary guardianship papers. With the last needed pieces of information, Raye was sent quickly to the back. Her grandfather went with her as the other girls clustered together hoping that Amy's mom would get to see her.

'She is being taken care of by her grandfather? Normally the elderly live on a fixed budget. This is going to make a serious dent into their finances, what with the ambulance ride and all.' Pushing off from the wall, she approached the desk.

Nurse Tyler looked up at the blonde lady that had been there for awhile. She had been waiting on her to come to the desk. "Can I help you?"

"The young lady that just went back, the friend of those four girls." She indicated the others with her eyes.

"Yes? What about her?" Tyler was ready to fend off any probing questions. 'Really, people must know that everything is confidential.'

Maritza slid a small business card on to the counter. "I started a charitable organization, one that randomly picks out emergency cases and helps to cover their bills."

The nurse's eyes opened wide even as she tried to figure out what this woman was up to.

"I just moved into this area, so I don't have a base of operation here yet, but I ask that you charge her bill to this location. I will tell them to expect it. Also, can you tell me whom I might talk to here about this becoming a regular thing? I should have this branch open with in the month."

After looking at the business card, Nurse Tyler started her through the channels.

Raye curled up on the couch surrounded by her friends. "They said I have asthma. Amy was right. It was the dust that the youma was throwing around that started the attack."

Serena bit her lip slightly. "Does that mean you won't be able to fight with us?"

"No! I'll just carry my inhaler and I'll be fine."

"But if it is dust that triggers it..." Serena's eyes were full of worry.

"I'll be fine! What? Do you think you can handle them without me?" The dark haired girl gave the other one a mock scathing look. "Right!"

Serena drew back. "I can, too!"

"You would be crying halfway through the battle. And maybe running away."

"Would not!"

"Would too!"

Lita and Amy watched happily as Raye succeed in stopping Serena from worrying, at least for the moment.
