After my yoga class at lunch today, I will be 95% of the way to Silver. 2200 calories to go!
*yawn* Oh, excuse me. I got up at 5:15 this morning to walk for half an hour before getting ready for work. I would dearly have loved to gone bike riding (if I had to be up that early, that is). The weather was soooooo great. It reminded me of the nice late evening rides J and I took this summer: perfect temperature and peaceful. The full moon was pretty as were the stars that were shining through the clouds as the sky was lightening up. It was almost 78F out there! Believe it or not, we're supposed to get up close to 90F today. That's amazing for Buffalo at this time of year.
Anyway, I nixed the bike riding idea even though that would have been more fun and probably would have burned more calories. I didn't want to be on the bike path by myself in the dark (even if I live in a pretty safe area and the Bike Path Rapist/Murderer has apparently been caught, tried, and locked up), and I couldn't think of anywhere else to ride besides my neighborhood that wouldn't have traffic to be concerned with. Traffic not used to cyclist at that time of morning, too. Bad thought. And riding around my neighborhood would take no time at all. So, I went for a walk instead.
I had intended to walk for an hour, but I got up later than I should have and didn't get out the door until almost 5:30 instead of 5:00-5:15. A half hour is good though. Definitely better than nothing.
*grimace* For now, though, the sun is shining brightly, and the work on my desk is waiting impatiently for me so I need to get to it. Haha, anyone have the time to find me a nice train ride from Buffalo or Niagara Falls to anywhere for a weekend trip? It'll cost more than I want to spend, of course, but it would be fun to do for J's birthday if I can convince him to come along. *pause* Though, I wonder how his motion sickness will do on a train... Hmmm...
