^-^ Ree and Faith already know about this one, I think. I am looking for people to play with in the President's Fitness Challenge. (www.fitness.gov) Basically, it is a program to get people moving. The "points" are the number of calories you burn doing your everyday activities and exercises (if you exercise separately). You don't have to break a sweat for it to count! You just get more points if you do, hahaha.
Examples of activities that count:
Walking
Cleaning House
Yard work / Gardening
PingPong
Horseshoes
Yoga
Wii Fit / Wii Sports
Bicycling
Weight Training
Spinning / Stationary bike
20,000 points gets you a Bronze Award. Then 45,000 for the Silver (20k + 25k?). Then 80,000 for the Gold. *grin* I'm not sure you have to be a US citizen to participate, hahaha, so Leni and Starsea might could play, too.
Personally, I am a little more than halfway to Bronze and I've been logging activities for a month. ^-^
So, if you are looking for motivation to get started on some sort of exercise routine, or motivation to keep up your current routine, or you just feel like seeing how long it takes to achieve a level with your daily routine, sign up and log in and let me know!
In other news, life is busy, work is busy, my chimney has a new cap ($400), my car needs new front end engine mounts ($600), I am going on business travel next week, I plan to use a couple of vacation days around the Memorial Day weekend holiday (last weekend of May), and I am at $105 of my $150 target for the Ride For Roswell this year. The Ride will be the last weekend of June for any who want to know. If you'd like to donate, just leave a comment and I'll get you the link.
And finally, it is JMM Friday! Not that I could listen to my work Japanese Mega Mix this morning due to a teleconference, but it is on now. ^-^ Have a good day, all!
