Hello, all!

Maple Weekend (2nd half) was fun. J and I went to Merle Maple Farm out in farming country. We got to eat maple bbq pork sandwiches (the whole reason I wanted to go. I know. But I am not ashamed. ^-^) and baked sweet potato (which was really yam) with maple sugar and maple syrup, tour their sap boiling process, take a tractor wagon ride up into the sugar bush (or woods, whichever you prefer to call it), watch a portable band saw cut amazingly level and square lengths of board from some maple trunks, ooo over the baby calf, and laugh with delight at the two sculptures. Both of horses, by the way. One made out of plastic tube lengths over a wire structure, and the other made out of corn stalks and husks. J bought some maple candy which was out of this world.

Bad news for all you maple lovers out there. In Western New York at any rate, it was a bad year. The weather would not cooperate to help the sap flow, and the sugar content in the sap that did come out was down. Haha, why is it J and I always choose the bad years to go?

Otherwise, I've been trying desperately to finish this project at work, taxes were given to J's accountant on Friday afternoon, Zoo is becoming more of a pain than fun with the irritating issues and on-the-fly programming changes, the cats are healthy and frisky and I'm striving to be, haven't been to exercise in over a week, and the year is only 25% done. ^-^

Holy Week is this week, which means what time I am not spending at work will be mostly spent at church. Choir practice Tuesday night, Holy Thursday service, morning prayer on Good Friday, Good Friday service, maybe get my hair cut, morning prayer on Holy Saturday, cooking something for Easter dinner if I can, Easter Vigil (with all eight Old Testament readings this year), Easter Mass with J (if I can swing it timewise), Easter dinner at J's sister's house... Then four and a half days of work until I leave for a long-ish weekend in Savannah! *smile* I hope your days aren't half as busy as mine right now!

I finished the Black Butler anime a few weeks ago, stayed up way too late watching the last Kobato episodes on Thursday (I think it was) (and yes, it was worth it), caught up on Yumeiro Patissiere yesterday, and that's it for anime. I'm downloading K-On!, which sounds like it might be fun.

At some point, I need to log on here from home and update my profile and userpics.... More work!

But for now, I need to get back to this savings estimate. *sigh* Have a good day, everyone!
