after christmas i have a new plan for my money: it'll work perfectly as long as i'm still living here (i may move to allston, but in that case i will try to get a second job)

basically i make about $288 or so a week

so, every week i will put $60 into my savings
in a year that'll be about $2,880 or so.. (give or take more depending if i need the money for something or if i put extra in for any reason)

this that added to what i already have in savings i will have plenty as a security blanket to move to Brooklyn.
exciting.

i will also have to put $100 a week towards rent and utilities.

that will leave me with around $100-$200 (that's including what i earn in tips) to spend a week. i need to make some life changes to make it so that i'm nottt spending that much.

i buy a pack of ciggs every other day--- bad! that's $120 a month.
and i buy a bottle of wine at least 2 nights a week.. bad. that's $160 a month.
on top of all of that, i spend about $5-40 on food everyday. that's dicusting.
no more eating out.
try to quit smoking.
a lot less drinking.

i need to budget.

i'm going to write down a plan for my money for every day of the week, and keep it in a book.
i 'm going to call it my Brooklyn Budget Book. and i am going to carry it with me every day from now until i move to Brooklyn, and plan to do the same routine for when i do move.

oh, and this also means-- no more free haircuts.... well for people i barely know. if your friends want me to give them a haircut in your kitchen, i'll accept $10.. or food, cigarettes, or wine. haha. i've been an idiot for too long giving away free cuts. i don't even think to ask for compensation. and $10 in your kitchen is a lot cheaper than any salon (even super-cuts) and more convenient.

okay.. i'm going to go work on my Brooklyn Budget Book now.
