One can only hope Entropy throws me a few new bones from the Void.
So, lets see my world has taken a few sharp turns since last I posted. Which isnt too surprising, with so much good luck these days there was bound to be something to balance it all out.
Friday april comes home to tell me they're laying her off but of course she gets to finish the month out. Well gee how surprising. Of course of all the employee's they're laying off the pregnant woman. But of COURSE they're cutting loose the financial liability to them. The bastards. Ah well, things will get a little tighter around here, not that I'm adverse to tightening my belt a little, we've done it off and on throughout our lives together. I guess what really eats me up is they do it right at a point they'd be liable by law to keep her job available for her while she had to go on maternity leave. Harrumph, all hail Capitalism. *grits teeth* One can only hope theres a civil war soon and the greed based mindset of a capitalistic democratic nation are usurped in the favor of a socialistic environ (what a laugh as if that would work either!) Blah, now I'm just being bitter, but you know what, I'm entitled to bitterness...so then I shall be.
On another note and something of a happier tone, the doctore says she's got 4 weeks till my son comes home, or at least out of her belly. That at least is something wondrous to look forward to and something I cant wait to witness. I was there for my other two and each one was an amazing experience, this one proves to be no different. And of course the beauty ends here, thats right folks sterilization is good stuff. We both have had enough baby makin, the failure of the pill was just too much. The creation of the third was just a little too much of a shock, never again will there be an oops. And if there is we're suing the doc's for malpractice! rofl...aaaaanyways.
To top things off on a lighter note, it seems while working in the yard and filling the pool for the kids I managed overexposure to sunlight hurrah for sunburns. Eh the stings no big, the threat of skin cancer, laughable...first time I've really exposed myself in a long time. What I dont find amusing is the itching thats slowly creeping up my shoulders. Pain no problem....itching? Not cool man.
Ah and for those of you old horror fans AVP the movie has been released (yes I'm aware two AVP games have been released already). For those who dont know AVP is Aliens Vs. Predator. Its comin out this August 13th to theatres. If april doesnt pop before then, I can gaurantee thats one film I'll not miss. I do hope it doesnt bomb like other Vs. movies.
Ah well, I'm off to go check with a few temp services today and go take a pot stop off at my old mentors place of business before april needs to be picked up from work...One can only hope Entropy throws me a few new bones from the Void.
