last night, i went and picked up the man. we looked at each other, "argued" about who should make the first move for a kiss and then zoomed back to pasadena for dinner.
on the way back to the dena, i called and made a reservation at
redwhite+bluezz, where i'm a bin member. i'm good and old friends with the host, so he was joking around and said "bring me something." Kris and I took a detour through Chinatown and at the first open business, a liquor store, i pulled over, handed the man a ten spot and said "Chinese liquor store. Go buy whatever is cool that you can afford with this." He came back with some sort of little blue toy that had a head and fringy hair and spun around. needless to say, Bryan Gay-alot, my friend at the club, was ecstatic with his gift.
appetizer was tuna crisps...sort of a very glamourous form of sashimi with some crispy thingy it laid on.
we both had kobe...beef, not bryant (although, that kind of meat is very tempting...). kobe beef bacon cheeseburgers with bbq ketchup, applewood bacon and some kind of artisan cheese. they came with spicy sweet potato fries.
for wine, we shared a bottle of
brachetto d'acqui. for water, panna.
bread and butter between appetizer and main course.
no dessert, we were way too full.
back home, play with the dog, have a night cap (he: Maker's Mark on the rocks, me: SmartWater), catnap on the bed then melding of bodies, minds, auras and spirits. off to sleep.
up way too early for anything good. back to los angeles to drop him off, back to pasadena. walk the dog. go shopping for harvest home stuff. more dishwashing and house straightening.
incense is smoldering. candles are burning. the mood is being set. soon, the witchcraft begins.
