gay rights moment
is it just me, having i been keeping up with too much of the gay press, or is it really a gay rights moment happening these days? i feel so much like the feelings i got when i was a kid in the late 70s going to the university library and reading gay lib era books. it seems like we've got the power right now and that because of the whole prop 8 madness and the milk film and being thoroughly dissed as a constituency by the obama administration, we've become a movement again. what's more, it feels to me like an inevitability that we will have fully guaranteed equal rights in my lifetime--and not at the end of it, but soon. power to the people--the glbtiq people!
