more tarot mania.
this weekend, i got the masonic tarot in the mail. i did readings with it and square and compasses tarot on my masonic journey. i also did readings about my queer spirituality journey with the brotherhood tarot and the gay tarot.
am still trying to find a way to acquire the original gay tarot. i was looking around online for sources last night and found a link to the artist's website, so i sent him an email. i hope i'll hear from him, as i haven't heard from the author either via email or phone.
there's another queer deck called the son tarot, which only has the majors available for sale right now. i sent an email to the deck's author today to see if there was a way to get the whole thing.
i ordered the hardcover book to le tarot magique, which i used to own back in oklahomo. it's another deck i need to re-acquire. i gave it to my old grove (most likely, but it could have been to another magickal friend) when i moved out to california, because i couldn't take much of my stuff and i wanted all my magickal things i couldn't take with me to go to good homes. it's majors-only and purely symbolic. very bizarre. i never could figure it out, as to how it related to my own journey, but the art was very compelling and strange. knowing what i do now about who is my goddess patron, it makes complete and total sense. the confirmation is just another one of those little reminders that our path continually shows itself to us if we're just smart enough to open our senses and be receptive.
lastly, i ordered the light and shadow tarot, as i had been attracted to it previously, but had read that both the artist and the author were important gay tarot authorities. i use the word were, as both of them have died.
i've also been trying to track down acquisition dates for my decks, because i'm having an anal-rententive moment and making an excel spreadsheet on my tarot collection, with price info, shipping, source and other stuff recorded. amazingly, i know most of the dates of stuff, but some of the dates i don't know are very recent...
