I Know Livejournal is Dead But...

I figured the end of summer/beginning of school deserves an entry. I'm pretty excited to be going back to Vanderbilt in less than a week. This summer hasn't been the greatest but then again it hasn't been the worst either. A lot of junk went on that kinda brought it down. Relationship issues and a family member passing away, among other things, can do that. On a positive note, I have hung out with a few pretty cool kids that I never hung out with before. I'm going to miss them and my friends from work. Fortunately, Caroline will be up in Nashville. And I'm hoping the rest come up and visit me in NashVegas. Everyone down at UA better come up for the Vandy/Bama game! I also made lots of money working this summer and bought a new car so there's nothing wrong with that.

I'm going to be uber busy this semester. I'm looking forward to doing the whole VUceptor thing. It should be a great experience. I'm also pumped about working with Melissa on promotions for the radio station. I think we can do some great things. And last but not least STAND VP will be another fun position. I can't wait to see everyone and party like a rockstar. Our suite (Towers III 603) is going to be off the hook. We're going to pool our money together and buy a nice big screen HD TV. And we will have PS3 along with Guitar Hero, DDR, and who knows what else. I have a single room again so that's pretty rockin'. I'm ready to chow down on some CT West. Hopefully classes aren't too bad. I really need to bring my GPA up from last semester. My Communications Studies class on trauma in film should be really good. Apparently the professor is amazing as well.

Being my last week here in the 'Ham I will be hanging out, going to the eye doctor, doing a little shopping, and spending time with the family. You know what to do.

I will leave you with a few last words of wisdom:
1) Watch Battle Royale. Even if you aren't into foreign films, this one is pretty whacked and you need to see it. It's a little gory but nothing like the Saw or Hostel movies.

2) Check out the HBO show Flight of the Conchords. Freakin' hilarious show about a real New Zealand band trying to make it in NYC. http://youtube.com/watch?v=kwpFQFnkHww

3) Wear sunscreen. Sing. Dance. Live life to the fullest.

4) To each his own. Don't force your beliefs on anyone else. And accept people for who they are.

5) Don't do something just because you want to be cool. You'll end up looking like an idiot.
