is it really necessary for my tv watching experience to be littered with commercials for restaurant chains that don't have any locations remotely near where i live??!!

seriously! when i lived in ny, i'd see ads for sonic allll the time. meanwhile there isn't one single sonic anywhere on long island. makes no sense. and it makes me mad that the ads sometimes make me want to eat at those places, and i can't! grrrr

i went to a tim hortons when my fam visited my dad's hometown of buffalo, ny. i never see commercials for tim hortons, tho. but at the rate these commercials are popping up i won't be surprised if i see one soon!

i remember seeing ads for WHite Castle and Checkers and Popeyes in farm country, NJ. then i moved to Philly in college and my friend was like, "ooooh, so THIS where they put these things... with all the black people?!?!? have they been trying to lure us to ghetto North Philly for all these years????"
