I got this Franz Ferdinand CD today. It's pretty cool, it's some Brittpop stuff I suppose. I saw the video for Take Out on MTV a while back. It's about the only thing I've bought from seeing on MTV (at least in the past 6 years).
I've also been listening to The Postal Service and Modest Mouse.
After I got that, I went to Samuel music in Bloomington and played on a sweet ass strat with lace sensors for 2 hours. You know you're a good guitarist when guys come up to you in music stores and commend you on your playing and ask who wrote that riff you were playing. Then act shocked when you say it was you who wrote said song or riff.
This one guy heard me playing one of my tapping technique songs then proceeded to compare it with Satch and Reggie Wooten.
Another guy stopped me as I was leaving and said my playing was awesome.
So, that made me feel pretty good.
