for supper today we made this pretty fantastic broccoli and cauliflower casserole. it had a cheese sauce and crumb topping and had real parmesan cheese - the kind you buy one rock solid hunk at a time, not the stuff that you shake out of the canister onto your pasta. man it was goooood. along with it a simple store bought chicken that will be picked clean and used in a chicken salad. waste not :-)

this morning i was measured before i did my work out and i lost weight! not much, but that's because apparently i've put on muscle. i've also lost inches and my BMI dropped. so that made me feel pretty good :-)

we've had a lot of snow the past little while and i'm pretty sick of it. it's almost easter... the sun should be shining and birds should be chirping! green things should be growing! *sigh*  i'm getting antsy. i want to play in the garden. it is currently buried under a huge snow drift :-(

shane is selling rhoda! this makes for a happy linda. it's old and musty, plus he never plays her. with the money he makes from her he plans on getting a decent keyboard which i am all for. a keyboard will be something he'll actually use, plus it won't take up as much space, plus it won't smell like old smoky bar :-) he's received a number of offers on it but it's not up on ebay. there's one day left and hopefully she'll bring in some big bucks!

so my folks are more or less all moved into their house. shane's will be moving in the next two weeks. various people that i know have all bought houses. me? i'm still here in the dusty hole in the wall. for the most part i'm not bitter. just from time to time :-) but i can wait. we'll have a house once shane's done school. and then the babies can come! haha. a house just wouldn't be convenient right now, especially one out in the country, as it would mean getting a second vehicle and longer commutes to work and school for both of us. and it's not that bad here. there's a grocery store at walking distance, and we're close to school and both our jobs. i won't whine.

speaking of work - it's march break! meaning a week of madness. but i'm ready for it. bring on the screaming kiddies, i say. they won't sit in the bar, anyway ;-)

hhhmm that might be all. we took some brownies out of the oven and i'm going to have one while they're still warm :-)
