It's September?!
Holy cow. I can't believe it's September already. Next thing I know I'll be studying for finals and shopping for X-Mas presents. School is coming up on the 24th. I'm actually looking forward to it. Give me something else to do beside work or not work. Pathetic line up of my days these last few months.
Let's see...my last entry I said I should be going to Vegas and we did. My parents bought me a plane ticket to Vegas so I didn't have to stress out about getting down there. Kelly and Justin were the issues that came up before Vegas. They were engaged and broke up like 3 weeks before leaving. Let's just say going to Vegas, the wedding chapel of the universe, is not the best idea with an ex-engaged couple. Well not including the few awkward moments (seeing a bride all dressed up in the lobby of the hotel) it was a blast. I absolutely love Vegas. I can't wait to take another trip down there. The last night there at Mandalay Bay I won $200 on the slot machines. It was funny because it just continued to roll out the credits and didn't stop for like a good 2 minutes. I had no idea what I won until the cashout voucher printed. Never freaked so easily. LoL! It was definitely a highlight. That night we also went and saw the Blue Man Group. I suggest for anyone going to Vegas to take in a show while you are there. This one was off the wall. It was funny, random, and just plain nuts at times.
The summer was pretty bland for me. I worked mostly. I didn't go anywhere which is actually kind of sad. Not even a day trip anywhere. Oh well, I think I have a trip to plan to take place in the next couple of months. Speaking of trips I think I might take one out to Iowa to visit Katie sometime in the spring. She goes to school at Cornell College in Mt. Vernon, IA. Oy....I haven't decided when I'm going just yet. All I know is it's going to be an expensive plane ticket. She has her first day today. On a holiday...haha.
My nephew was born on August 8th at 10 pounds 8 ounces. He's a big boy and he's already accepting applications to play in the NFL. Haha. He's such a cutie in his own way. He already looks like he's 6 months old in some pictures when he isn't even a month old. His name is Nixon Ash (named after my brother Nick and his wife Ashley). I just have to say the name grows on you after a while. (o: Brooklyn just turned 6 on the 14th. I can't believe she's 6! Ellie will be 3 and a half in November. Her birthday is in May. Well that's it for the family news.
I am just working and looking forward to school. I hope to make progress with the little thing called a career choice. Who knows what I'll be doing in 5 years. I hope to have started my career by then. (o: Well I hope all is well. Who knows when I'll update again. (o:
