So there I was, dozing contentedly beside my beloved in the wee hours of the night, when I was rudely awakened by *something* skittering up my right arm at a rapid pace. Please bear 3 things in mind:
1. This is MS. There are some VERY large bugs here.
2. Cooler weather has arrived, which means the aforementioned very large bugs - and other critters - are moving indoors for warmth.
3. I am not always completely rational when suddenly and rudely awakened in the wee hours.
Allow me to say I am rather pleased with my reflexes, as I went from dozing to wide awake in milliseconds, and caught the offending critter as it reached my shoulder. With my left hand even. Unfortunately, the critter in question was NOT a very large bug, which I realized a split second after it left my hand, headed at top speed for the wall across the room. This morning, somewhere in the bedroom, there is a lizard of undetermined species that probably has a concussion. Can't find him yet, but I'll keep looking. He'll just have to accept my apology - the gecko that visited me in the shower last week was politely and gently re-introduced to his natural habitat. Not my fault the new guy missed the memo.
