It's official, i did break my finger three weeks ago. i suppose my estimation of pain is a bit off: about 10 years ago i broke my leg, and even though at that moment, the pain was fierce, i remember lying on the ground wondering, is it broken, or just sprained? Sooooooo, yeah, like that. But after a resurgence of the pain last Friday (long past when a sprain should have healed), i had to admit it might be broken, and Monday's x-rays have verified it.
And now my finger is safely encased in a splint.
But i had managed to get a couple of prototypes done without too much damage to the break. One of my projects is sculpting bonsai that are part tree, part dragon. i have one that is mostly dragon, and one that is mostly tree:
Poppet is there for scale. Here is the tree bonsai fully painted:
This is probably one of the smallest sculptures i've made, it's roughly an inch square, not including the pot. The dragon is wrapped around the tree, so it might not be so easy to see.
When the splint comes off, i'll start working with finishing up Foppets. And a few dragons in between :-)
