rambling

Geez it's grey outside. A bit of a downer after the gorgeous sun we had yesterday afternoon. Actually, yesterday's weather was a little schizophrenic - we started out with a bit of sun, around 9:30 it started pouring but stopped fairly quickly, and then eventually it cleared up to almost totally clear skies ( Read more... )

wow, cats, weather, bpal, rambling, creativity

Hey there! You beat me to it, I was going to leave you a comment to say hi later today when I'm not so busy at work. :)

I honestly don't remember how I found you... might have been BPAL, might have been WoW, might have been a knitting community... it was quite some time ago though, it just took me a while to get around to friending you. :) I am on Ravelry though (and Twitter too - just noticed your recent entry), I'm madylynrose in both places.

Lampwork is a TON of fun... I don't think I have room for stained glass, and the last thing I need is yet another hobby anyways, so I'm sticking with lampwork as my glassworking hobby for now. And yes, I've actually got sets of stitch markers on my list as one of the things I want to sell on Etsy once I get set up to do enough work to be able to sell it. :) If you were to purchase a set, how many would you want in it? I haven't done a whole lot of knitting (yet - about to start a lace shawl that's going to require it though) that has needed stitch markers, so I don't know.

I don't have any toons on Draenor - I play horde on Bronzebeard and alliance on Lightbringer. And I should probably 'fess up... I thought your name was so cute that I stole it. :) My dwarf priestess on Lightbringer is named Brienze. :)

I'm just starting my first lace shawl that can use stitch markers (let's not talk about Heere Be Dragone), so I don't have a feel yet for how many that takes. I make a lot of socks, so I usually buy stitch markers in pairs or fours. I wouldn't be opposed to a set that contained more than that though, if they're pretty. =)

What pattern are you working on? I'm working on the Swan Lake Stole (http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/swan-lake---mystery-stole-3), I've finished just under a page's worth but I need to frog and restart as it's been ages and my cat got into it and tangled the yarn and stuff.

Once I get going on my store, I may have some freebie stuff to send out for people to tell me how they like it and give me some reviews, so I'll keep you in mind. :)

I'm doing the Triangular Summer Shawl since I managed to snag a copy of the sold-out Knitted Lace of Estonia book. I'm still just on the top border, though.

I've frogged page 1 of Heere Be Dragone twice now. Don't have the attention span to keep going, and it's really hard to put down and later pick up a pattern with no repeats.
