Discovery being that I enjoy clicking the link to my deadjournal from my livejournal page and then reading what I wrote three years ago. March 11, 2003 I wrote the following, titled, "Why is Catholicism stalking me?"
"My grandma called this weekend. She is going to St. Louis with Peepaw to baptize my cousin Maddy. Do my Steven and I want to go with them and get water thrown at us too? Look, Grandma, I understand that out of, like, 50 grandkids, Steven and I are the only ones not baptized Catholic, but we don't mind, so you shouldn't either.
"And then my cousin Katie called, asking if I would like to go on a retreat with her and her sister Jamie... a Catholic retreat of course. Well, I'm going, but that's besides the point.
"And I got three pieces of mail today. All from Catholic colleges trying to recruit me. Is God trying to tell me something?
"If you're Catholic, that doesn't mean there's anything wrong with you, and I'm not trying to offend you, but I do not want to be Catholic, so I wish Catholicism would stop following me.
"Oy vey.
"Yadda yadda, blah blah, stuff. Goodbye."
Because sometimes I read things like "oy vey," and I remember how clever I am.
