Earlier this month, I flew to Denver to referee a roller derby bout. Yes, I’m that cool.
In retrospect, I stayed out a little too late the night before, and should have drank a few more glasses of water before going to bed. I woke up on time, and had no difficulty getting to the airport. I wasn’t hung over, but I wasn’t exactly spry, either.
It’s a four hour flight to Denver, so I decide to catch up on my sleep. I sit down in 16F, use my coat as a pillow, and go right to sleep.
However, while sleeping, I have a very vivid dream.
It’s a dream that I’m on a plane, and I’m trying to get to sleep, but I can’t. I shift from side to side. I get up from 16F to get away from the jackass who keeps trying to talk to me. I sit down in 12A, but that’s near my friends, who keep talking to each other. I crawl down into the baggage compartment, but that’s noisy and cold.
The real life plane touches down in Denver, but I don’t feel like I’ve slept at all.
