Tooth woes...
So, phase one of my happy double root canal is complete. The actual root canal on the front tooth is finished but the back one's nerve was too inflamed to do it today. Thus I have to return in about two weeks to get the permanent crown put on the former and have the root canal on the latter, which is currently filled with anesthetics that will slowly seep through the nerve between now and then, completely killing all possible sensation. In theory. Then I'll have to go back about two weeks after that to get the permanent crown on that tooth.
I should be back to normal by about Christmas. *grumbles*
On the up side, it really didn't hurt that bad. The procedure itself was painless, aside from when we discovered the back tooth wasn't dead, and the most pain I'm having after the fact is from having my jaw pried open as wide as possible for an hour. And the injection sights for the local, which she had to shoot me with four times. Apparently, it takes an arseload of anesthetics to knock out my nerves.
I go sleepy now, and hope my face hurts less in the morning.
