Why I can't understand the love of Twilight....
Seriously I just don't get it....maybe I am just too old for it. While my kids were out of town this week I decided to sit down and watch my daughters copy of the movie Twilight and I left thinking WHAT THE FUCK??? I grew up in the days of The Lost Boys, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Interview with the Vampire and I just adore those so why can't I get this movie?
My daughter loved this movie....actually she loved Edward. She is ten and she thinks this guy is in her words soooooooo hot mom. I remember being her age and thinking that Kiefer Sutherland was sooooooo hot....even in vampire form. So why can I not get her love for this guy? Is it because she is my baby girl? I just can't figure it out.
I had a conversation with my 13 year old niece yesterday about all the guys she loves and they were mostly from this movie minus her odd fascination with the Jonas Brothers. She is another big fan of this movie, but when I asked her why she loved this movie so much all she could say was because of Edward and him being sooooooo hot. Maybe I am just old fashioned, but I have to say I will take these video's....

I figure it is just a generation gap and I will probably get over it, but as of right now I am giving Twilight a big ol' two thumbs down compared to other older Vampire movies and shows.
