Always sad to see you go...
I got the news this morning that I dear friend of mine passed away. He was a lovely gentleman who saw to the heart of every situation the second he stepped into it, appreciated the sounds of stillness and silence and had the ability to make a party with a dishtowel and some music. He will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
I slacked a bit this week with my cooking for various reasons: going out to dinner with my guy's dad, 3 days work weeks are always insane, I didn't have a strong desire to cook up a storm. I made eggs a couple of different ways but I don't find piles of eggs too appealing to look at so I figured others would feel the same way. This morning I did make a lovely Blueberry Sour Cream Coffee Cake which was delicious and will definitely be made again. The recipe called for 5 spice strangely enough but since I didn't have that and didn't feel like whipped up a batch, I went with cinnamon instead. Wicked tasty!
