So last night I watched the first episode of Quirke, which internet fandom generally refers to as the show that Colin Morgan will eventually guest-star in, but which actually stars Gabriel Byrne as the titular Doctor Quirke (and yeah, he still looks damn good). I can tell you Colin's character (if they stick to the book) isn't so much an arsehole, just not quite likeable, but he is sweet on Phoebe (even though she doesn't treat him very well - especially in later books!)

Oh dear, I suppose that means Phoebe is about to get hit with a lot of on-line hate!

Even when it was first screened at the BFI (ages and ages ago) the reviews weren't great either, which I suspect is why the BBC haven't screened it yet.

Huh, that's interesting. I was wondering why there was such a long delay.

Oh dear, I suppose that means Phoebe is about to get hit with a lot of on-line hate!

I'm sort of dreading it actually.

I have been marathoning True Detective - can recommend that. Its up there with Breaking Bad and Orphan Black in terms of great writing, and acting (Matthew Mcconaughy - whoda thought?)
