My Love
Stands on the edge of infinity.
She dances on the edge of forever
And looks at me across time.
Her smile soothes me
In my hour of sorrow and despair.
And sings me to sleep
When my heart is heavy.

She
Understands my faults
And knows my weaknesses.
She braves the tempests of my mood
And knows what to say to calm me.
And when I drive people away
She breaks down my walls when no one will
Knowing that all I ever want is to be held.

She
Holds my hand without question
And brushes my hair with her breath.
She caresses my face, intimate
With the knowledge that I exist for her
And that I am what she wants me to be.
She places herself in my care
Because she trusts me completely with her all.

She
Is not scared of unbound passion
And lets herself be carried by it's warmth.
She does not hold back on words of affection
And showers me with them.
She is not afraid to say 'I love you'
At random places and time
And she does this meaning every word of it.

She
Is not afraid to show me attention
And readily proclaims it to the world.
She holds me special above anyone else
And understands when I want to be held.
She knows when I need comfort and reassurance
That tomorrow is still something to look forward to
And the past is something one can leave behind.

She
Is not afraid to ask for my help
Or cry in front of me when her pillars collapse.
She allows me to see her in her most vulnerable
Knowing that I am there to hold her if she falters.
And while she is principled and holds on to pride
She lets me share with her pain
And trusts that we can face the world together.

She
Is the vault in which all my secrets rest
And does not shirk away from my darkest faults.
She loves me for all that I am, and all that I was
And will help me to be all I could ever be.
She is my other half, my one complement
And completes me as we pass through this world;
One single entity beating in time with the Universe.

She
Reaches to the child in me
And allows me to be silly and free.
She does not chain me with concepts of maturity
And does not shackle me with the binds of society.
She allows me to be selfish at times
And understands that I can be as a child, petulant
In my claim of her and her affections.

She
Loves me with every shred of her existence,
Stretching eternity so she might blanket me with it.
She stays true to me and is not swayed by others
For she knows me like she knows her true self.
She knows when to let me fall, and when to help me up
And when the world conspires to break me down
She will be the one that has my back, as I have hers.

And finally, the one that I love
Allows me to break her masks.
She will show no hesitation in showing me her core
When everything is stripped away except her being.
And when I sleep, she cradles me and holds me,
Protecting me in my most vulnerable state.
So I wake up to see her there, sleeping
Smiling with eyes closed to the sun.
