Peekaboo!
Wow... it has been a bit since I posted on here. If anybody is looking for me, go to facebook. I am probably sucked in to the Lil Green Patch, LOL!
Anyway, we had a cool thing happen tonight at my Mom's. We went there for dinner, and to pick up some gifts that Mom had for us. When we got there dinner was already out on the table so we went straight to the kitchen. Aidan had already eaten here, so we just left him in his car seat on the floor to rest while we ate. After a bit, he woke up and started looking around, and my Mom started cooing at him and talking to him, which brought about the usual response of adorable smiles and gurgles and coos. Then he pulled his blanket up over his face, and when he lowered it Mom said "Peekaboo! I see you!", and for the first time, he put together the theory that this was a cause-and-effect thing. So he pulled the cover back up to test it out, and got the same response. And did it again. And again. And again. And before we knew it, Aidan was leading us on his first full-fledged game of peekaboo! It was very cool to see! :-)
He is learning so much every day... it's really amazing. And to see how far Abby is progressing and to know that Aidan will progress similarly in a similarly short amount of time is just mind-boggling...
Did I mention yet that Abby is getting a computer for her birthday?
Yeah.
Nothing fancy or anything, just our old P4, but still... my little girl is getting her own computer... *sniff*
