...To start with, I'd like to apologize that all this had to come to light under such circumstances as last week's phenomenon. It did, however, and I see no point in trying to keep things from you any longer.

I have developed romantic feelings for your sister.
At first I hid it, intending to be her friend and nothing more, but I did not realize how strong those feelings were. She knows now, and...has yet to reject me. I believe she is uncertain about what she wants. Until she fully understands this, I have no intention on making her decision for her. All I want is for her to spend her time on this island happy, without doubt or despair. If it were possible, I would stay by her side for as long as this island held us 'captive'.
