I got a card in the mail today.
I'm so glad to hear from him...I almost never do, but at the same time it breaks my heart to have to be so far away from him.
The front of the card is a picture of a message in a bottle, washed up to shore. And it says "There's no distance too great for love."
The inside says "I miss you!!"
He wrote:
My beloved Ashley.
"I miss you!!"
Drastically! As if it were not an understatement. And I havn't even been gone all that long yet. You know this means I will have gone completely crazy don't you? So I love you and it's gonna be the death of me, and then I get back.

He left a little poem on the other side, upside down and written backwards. Probably for my amusement or confusion, and conceivably both.

UGH he's so FULL OF IT! Not gone long my arse, it's been nearly five months now. It kills me how he writes to me so little and then leaves something so sweet to make sure I can't stop crying for hours on end. I miss him.
