(no subject)
Well, its been a very long time since I have written here. Life has been busy, and complicated. I guess I will just try to keep things to a nutshell and hit the highlight reel so to speak. Russell has basically exited my life. He got a "promotion" at work, and has NO time for me, apparently. Which I guess is ok since I can't be what he wants me to be or give him what he wants me to give. I am struggling to find a better job than my current one. My two supervisors are leaving as of this month. BeBe's last day is December 19th and I am sure Maria will be gone either before her, or shortly thereafter. Maria is only getting transfered to a different location but BeBe is leaving for New Orleans. I am going to miss her a lot. I am hoping that before she goes she can secure me an ample raise. $2-3 more an hour would be wonderful but I am not holding my breath. Rick's family came to town and I had to meet them. I was nervous and to me it didn't go very well. But ... he said they liked me so I guess I will have to rely on that. Rick's room mate kicked him out. He will be staying here with us, effective tonight. I am not sure how its going to work out, but we will just have to make it work, right?
Seldom in life, atleast in mine, do things go according to plan. I guess it shouldn't matter to me how he got here just that he got here right? Wrong. I want my mom to feel good about the decision to let him move in. I want her to like him and see all the positives of having him here. At this rate, she is not and does not. But we will bring her around, its just going to take time. Time; a valuable cammodity that seems to be lacking these days.
On the business front, I am trying to get ahold of this talented artist I know (hint hint Lysa) to do some cover art of us for three books due to release in 2008. She would get paid the going rate to do so ... :) Also, I have a website that needs to be created and made AWESOME so that the business can become fully functional. We have someone in mind for the marketing end of things, its just sitting down and ironing out the fine details. We have a total of three authors with signed contracts at this time, and a few more that are in the process. Several submissions waiting to be read and evaluated.
Then of course there is my writing that is coming along rather nicely. I just really wish I had more time to devote to it so I could get the last few chapters done of the first novel and flesh out the second. And I have the editing on the book set to be released in April that I MUST finish by Mid January at the latest.
I am a busy beaver with all this on my plate. And all that does not even include my Mommy duties. Damn do I love my kids but sometimes ... I can vaguely recall my life before them, when all my time was my own. Jeesh how I wish I hadn't squandered it all ... giggle. Well, that's all the time I have for now. Off to clean out my room ... gotta make some room for my b/f to spend the night... giggle... that sounds good.
