Today's been a good day for numerous reasons, and I shall list them for your benefit:
*It is the beginning of the three-day weekend that marks the day I graced this world (please shoot me if I ever call this my natal day)
*Democrats got the House and the Senate! PARTAY IT UP!
*My geekiness knows no bounds, but that's the way (uh-huh uh-huh) I liek it liek whoa!!!!!!eleventy-one!!!!
I'm reading a book called Mr. Darcy Takes A Wife, and it is living proof that fanfic is not just a waste of time. It is seriously the most hilarious book ever, if only because it spent at least a chapter describing, in Elizabethan euphemisms just exactly how large Mr. Darcy's 'member' is.
The only sad thing is that I detect some bias of the author against a few of the characters. Par example, Mr. Bingley is clearly nearly as awesome as Darcy, so it is very annoying to read that he doesn't even know the mechanics of sex. That is character assassination!
Truly, this is sometimes simply like reading fanfiction, because they will not stop having sex. Can't they just get on with the plot already?! I've just started part two, and only the barest hints of plot have emerged- that being that Darcy's illegitemite son has jsut realized who exactly his father is. I'm starting to be scared that I've accidentally picked up a traqshy romance. Quelle horruer! Au secours!
Also, everyone must show love to my newest icon (I realyl need a paid account because seriously making these things is the most fun ever). It's very true, because if my mind weren't permanently on vacation (last I heard it was in Siberia- this is one example of how we were clearly not cut out for each other- it likes the cold, I loathe it,) I would not be sitting here entertaining you with my (probably accidental) wit.
On a bad note, I think my wisdom teeth are coming in, but at least I'm going to the dentist's tomorrow so they can tell me what's up. Unfortunately, there is no sivler lining to this cloud, because I'm only going because I need to get a cavity filled. GAH. I hate novocaine, it makes me insanely grumpy.
