I'm in a very quiet kind of mood, but I wanted to note the day. Angelo left for Evo a little bit ago (he's in flight) and since I accompanied him to the airport, I had to get myself back home by myself. That meant taking a subway and PATH on my own, and also walking in New York alone. I easily did all of these things without missing anything, and very much enjoyed myself. Honestly, I wanted to stay in New York longer but I was hot and hungry, and after a moment of thought, realized I just wanted to come home.
I'm actually here alone right now. I have The Avengers on (it's not making me nearly as mad as Thor made me--maybe because I don't expect this to stick to Norse mythology.) and am just poking around online a bit. It's kind of nice being here alone. I haven't really had this since...well, before I moved. I love having people around (especially Angelo), but sometimes some peace and quiet is just what you need. And that seems to be the case with me right now.
That said, I do have a houseguest again this weekend. Skippy. He's out seeing his guru at the moment, but will be back later. Not sure when. I like Skippy though and have no problem with staying here. I also get to dog sit this weekend while our housemates go out of town. Quite looking forward to that as the more I'm around Rogue the more I realize how much I miss having a dog. I think eventually, once we have our own place and can afford to have pets, Angelo and I will wind up with both a dog and a cat.
So, here's something weird that I just noted. When I dropped Ang off at the airport, I was dying of thirst so I got a drink. A coke, to be exact. That didn't exactly taste the best to me. When I got back, I found a bit of Mountain Dew left that I hadn't drank yet and that didn't taste good either (it was still "good"--as in, not flat). I think life here is making me like sodas less. Maybe because I do so much walking now and therefore I sweat a lot. When it comes time for a drink I always just want water (or milk). Odd. Oh well, in the end it will save me money as sodas aren't cheap.
My plans for the rest of the evening are finish this movie, practice some Skullgirls moves and then maybe continue with the not-really-that-bad-after-all anime we've all been watching, Ourran High School Host Club. Tomorrow is back to the job hunt. Will probably head out this time though instead of just looking on Monster and Indeed.com.
