Happy Lughnasadh!

Lughnasadh has descended upon us with a bright, beautiful day. The sun is shining brightly and the air is still warm. Summer still lingers though the first hints of Autumn blow in on the soft breezes~ As I was leaving my house this morning, the early sun’s glow shone through the branches of a nearby tree making it look ablaze. Everything in that moment seemed glazed with an ethereal essence and I had to pause and say a silent thank You for all that is, all that I have been given this year, and all that I will receive yet. It was a perfect, beautiful moment. <3

This year I have accomplished so much. I still haven’t achieved that which I dream of every waking moment-being published-but I’m well on my way to it. I have several pieces out, I finally got a laptop which allows me to work anytime and place, and I’m working out a writing routine that works with my dayjob schedule so that I can get more accomplished.

One phase dies as another is reborn. I used to dream and dream and dream, but never got very far because that dreaming wasn’t met with as much action as I would’ve liked. Now, I still dream, but I’m doing a lot more to achieve the things I dream. I have the proper tools I need to do so, and now is when the hard work really begins. It’s time to give the seeds I have sown a hard push so that I can watch them fruit and flower, and eventually enjoy the rewards of my efforts. This season is so full of reflection and introspection for me, and that gives birth to new story ideas, which I nurture as I have those seeds, and then when they’ve bloomed I’ll send them out into the world to (hopefully) watch them blossom.

Even in a season where things are dying off and returning to Earth, there is a way to find Hope. What dies will be reborn.

Hoof and horn, hoof and horn
All that dies shall be reborn
Corn and grain, corn and grain
All that falls shall rise again
