One should not put rice to boil on the stove in the kitchen, and then return to the computer in the office on the first floor...
Thank the Gods I remembered in time! The kitchen looked like a steam room, the top of the stove was liberally inundated with rice-starch water but... the rice was done perfectly and nothing had burned!

And the rice salad (with pineapple, thinly sliced turkey breast, a dressing of yogurt with curry paste and chopped, fresh Vietnamese coriander leaves) was absolutely perfect! :)
