Slightly ded...

Today was the *first* sunny and warm day that we've had in *weeks*!

Of course I spent almost the whole day outside in the garden. Since I haven't been able to do *anything* out there, since I would probably have drowned while weeding, I was faced with a jungle!

So I simply started at one and and worked my way forward. Brought out the scythe from the storage shed and mowed half the mini-meadow that is most of my garden. I don't have a lawn. Wouldn't know what to do with it. I prefer the natural look. ^^ But I was pleased to note that I hadn't forgotten how to use the scythe - I was even able to sharpen it properly.

Pulled a lot of stuff that was just proliferating like crazy. If I could, I would let everything grow, but then I couldn't walk out my front door anymore. So I *have* to try to at least reduce some of that nature explosion that I have out there... :)

I also ravaged the bushes with my big tree cutter. And found a rose that I'd forgotten I had - totally covered by the hyssop and the St. John's wort. I cut it free and am hoping that it will recover. The bee balm and the hyssop are starting to emigrate from their beds into the driveway and pretty much where else they feel like being. *sigh*

Now I'm pretty much feeling ded. Am scratched, punctured (rose thorns!), sliced, have a back ache, and a variety of interesting colored bruises.

Oh well... That's what I get for having a garden. *gg*
