So, I'm not really loving Simon's new tantrums. For the past five days or so, he's been randomly bursting into fits of screaming/crying/flailing for no apparent reason. Anybody out there with childcare experience, tell me - this type of phase passes quickly, right? Right? I hope?
Sigh.

Is he doing this just when you leave, or throughout the day? With the case of my kids, they all went through this phase when I would go to leave them, but would be fine within 5-10 minutes after I left. Partly this was because they were finally old enough to understand what it meant when I was leaving, and they didn't want me to leave.
If it's during the day... well, at what age does your daycare allow your son to progress "to the next room," as it were? In Zachary's daycare, they had an infant room, a toddler room, preschool, and Pre-K. Zachary didn't have crying fits, but he hit a phase where he was clearly not happy in the room he was in. They moved him up to Preschool a few months early, and it was a whole different kid - he went from crying to when I left him, to rushing in to the room each morning with barely a wave to me as he did so.

Like this morning - I went and got him out of his crib. He's all smiles.

*smile smile giggle*
Did you sleep well?
*smile "Yes!" smile*
Can I give you a hug?
*grin "Yes!" giggle*
Do you want some milk?
"NOOOOOOO!!!!! *shriek scream wail*
Neither Pete nor I have been able to come up with any kind of reason for it.
