Exciting news.... and stuff....
So I haven't posted for a day or so, mainly nothing of interest to be said... Unless you find me sitting in my house slowly loosing my mind due to all the rain interesting...then well I should have posted.
I did however get some exciting news in the last couple of days,
Exciting news # 1) Today I am going out to the lake to learn the computer system cause as soon as the contract is approved I have a JOB!! *Happy Dancing all over my kitchen with some kermit arms thrown in for fun!* I am going to be employed! I can't tell anyone just how freaking happy I am about this!
Exciting news # 2) I was asked to fill in for Norm while he is on medical leave at Robbins, basically I will be his non paid replacement until he can come back and be in charge again... Okay so I am not getting paid for this, but again looks good on my resume, and it was an answer to if Robbins was still going to be open this season.. * for those who do not know what Robbins is, Robbins is an Historical Village set in 1850's open on the weekends during the summer.*
Even better my job at the lake is not be an issue because I will not be working weekends at the lake just during the week. Suddenly I feel I have a purpose again.. I can't tell you how exciting that feeling is..
Norm also asked me to come in to Robbins on May 24th to help him with the 120 visiting 8th graders from Marretta school, so I guess it is time to dig out the costume, corsets, petticoats, boots and make a new apron... I suppose it is a good thing I didn't cut off all my hair, crap I need to find my snod to... ( I finally bought one for all my hair ) I suppose I could and should finish the new dress I was making last year, the one I have been ignoring with much sucess because I hate doing coach pleats... baneful stuff... not like normal pleats nope very baneful...
Of course this is the music festival next weekend, that I was asked to work, which I am working, but I am only going in to cook then I am leaving... Not dealing with all the crap I did last year, that an his Darkness, has stated he WON'T deal with the bullshit that we dealt with last year. So there will be n o stay the night at Robbins, so I won't be tell grown drunk people to stop pissing on the historical building because I won't be there.... I personally believe that they should close off Robbins at night during the music festival,
but HEY, what do I know right??

College classes are going... I still find myself very unispired to write my papers, I think I jus want college to be done... I keep telling myself 4 more classes and it is over... sadly those 4 more classes I will be taking one or two at a time due to money... I think that is what has me so uninspired, the amount of time it is going to take just to finish 4 classes.... It is enough to depress anyone.. I think the worse part about all of this with the classes I am now taking, is if I would just sit down and do the work I could be done with it all by now. I am going to work on finishing up the clases this weekend and coming week... It really isn't rocket science..
Hopefully the weather is going to hold up and I will be able to do something with my gardens this weekend.. We have beauitiful sunny skies today... I am really hoping it is going to stay that way...
On a weird note... My daughter Brandee... graduates in 3 weeks... how bizare is that? I do not feel old enough to have a high school graduate. So strange...
So I am off of here so I can straighten up the house and get out to the lake..
