X-men WIP Rec List Part 1
100+ WIPs you should be following
This is a rec list of all the WIPs I think that everybody should be following on the x-men kinkmemes. All of them are Charles/Erik, have Charles/Erik in the background, or are focused on Charles & Erik friendship.
I made this list because I've been in other fandoms where the kinkmemes were huge, but it was always way too intimidating to even figure out where to start looking for fills/wips. Reason 2: I'm also hoping a rec might convince some of the authors to update some of the fills that haven't been updated in a while ;)
This is NOT all the good WIPs currently on the kinkmemes. I'm still going through everything myself! And there are some WIPs that just aren't to my taste. If you want to give me recs for WIPs that I don't have on here, I'm all for it!
I also didn't put WIPs on here that the authors have stopped updating on the meme and moved to their journal, or ones that are going to be bigbangs.
The headers refer to the date of the WIPs last update. Within the headers, they're not arranged in any order.
Anything with a " *** " after the title is one of my personal favorites, and in my opinions you should all DROP EVERYTHING AND READ THOSE RIGHT NOW, OMG.

August 1st- Now
Title: and these, from atoms
Prompt: Essentially, there's a severe lack of wheelchair for some reason or another, and someone has to carry Charles somewhere. Theoretically, Erik/Charles would be great, but it's kind of hard to manage that, what with how they've split apart. ;____; But I'm fine with anything, really! Just... this kink. Um. Yeah.
Title: a thousand pages (give or take a few) ***
Prompt: dueling used bookstores, run by Erik and Charles. They each send various scouts (Raven, Azazel, etc.) to check out the competition, only to find that the competition is not only hot, but also incredibly fond of Gatsby and the Lost Generation. Cue blind dates/book swaps/attempting to out-recommend the other, with a happy ending (perhaps a store merge?).
Notes: One of my top five favorites on this list! Read it!
Title: Our House, in the Middle of Our Street ***
Prompt:An alternate universe (they're all not mutants, just human) where Charles is a social worker who fosters troubled kids, and one day he meets Erik, an ex-druggie/ex-convict (or whatever else, I leave it to anon to figure out which demons are chasing him) who reluctantly agrees to stay for only a while, but ends up staying for good and helping Charles to raise the kids. Awkward parenting ensues!
Bonus points if the kids conspire to matchmake their foster parents a la The Parent Trap!
Title: Limited Release ***
Prompt: Alex is a criminal consultant for the FBI, Hank is either the agent that caught him much to Alex's surprise and disbelief or Hank is the new probie on Charles' team. THEY ARE TRACKING DOWN ERIK LENSHERR. \o/ I want snark, banter and lockpicking.
Notes: Also one of my top five favorites. Seriously, read this fic. Amazing characterization of everyone and a fantastic plot. Guh. Oh, also the fill doesn't follow the details of the prompt, just the basic premise of White Collar.
Title: All that's best of dark and bright ***
Prompt:Charles, Emma and Raven have formed an escort service for the upper echelons of society, providing visual and mental arm candy for the business men and women of the world who don't want the hassle of real relationships but need to broadcast a 'settled' persona.
Charles is requested by a Erik Lensherr, who is attempting to step out from under the shadow of his oppressive father, Sebastian Shaw (Erik took his mother's name). Despite being financially successful and independent his father still dominates his life (how is up to the authour). Erik wants to use his father's rampant homophobia to escape, hoping introducing his male fiance - who can psychically determine how best to infuriate his father - will repulse his father from his life.
Catch: Erik is straight but cannot work out his increasingly intense feelings regarding Charles. Charles is bi but after an initial reading of Erik (where he determined that Erik was heterosexual and also wherein Erik had him promise not to read him again) is determined to keep things professional. However he is also falling for Erik and is quietly suffering over Erik's passes, which he assumes are for the benefit of the charade.
Title: With Space to Swing ***
Prompt: Erik as a brooding, obsessive detective who's teetering on vigilantism in order to catch and kill a charismatic and elusive serial killer, Sebastian Shaw, who murdered his mother in front of his eyes. Moira is the lead agent of the FBI unit assigned to Shaw's case, and she ends up recruiting Dr. Charles Xavier, a reknowned specialist (clinical/criminal psychologist? a profiler? what?), who also happens to be a brother of the unit's newest recruit, Raven.
In the course of the investigation, Erik and the team cross path, and Erik and Charles get on like a house on fire. (And together, they fight crime!) I can totally see it, with Erik wanting to avenge his mother's death once they corner Shaw and Charles appealing to Erik's nature, and so on and so forth, but I would also love to see them solving other mysteries and fighting the good fight.
Title: come as you are ***
Prompt: Charles is the young boarding school student who volunteers at his family owned private hospital during his breaks. he mostly hangs around the children's ward, entertaining the kids. but there's this one patient in the neuro wing that he visits everyday before he goes home. this patient is in a coma (i know,right?! XD) but he reads to him, regardless. Charles is very attached to Jane Austen, so he reads her novels to this man.
years after, the patient is a normal person who works as a trauma surgeon at Xavier's Medical Institute. always grumpy, always testy, always sadistic to the interns, but have a soft spot for Jane Austen and when he closes his eyes he can hear a voice reading the words to him. he calls that voice his Austen muse.
and one day, he hears that voice. this time, its not from inside his own head.
Title: in the fashionable mode ***
Prompt: Charles and Hank are renowned matchmakers. They developed an amazingly accurate system to match people up.
Erik is the most eligible billionaire. He is a self-made man who amassed wealth using his uncanny ability to locate gold deposits. He controls several gold mines all over the world. But his love life is anything but golden.
Alex is Erik's trouble fixer/right hand man. Concern over the effect of the PR nightmare that is Erik's latest break-up over stock prices, Alex decides to engage the help of Charles and Hank.
Erik and Alex are the clients from hell. Charles and Hank don't know why their system fails to get a match for Erik -- until Hank runs Charles's profile against Erik's. They make a golden match. The problem is that they don't seem to have anything in common other than chess.
But Hank will try to make it happen, for the sake of their reputation. He also never wants to see Alex ever again. The sooner he can make Charles and Erik fall in love, the sooner he'd get rid of Alex's presence in his office, in his life.
Title: The Bawd and The John ***
Prompt: guys where is this fandom's ridiculous hooker au?
charles runs a brothel. the students work there. erik is one of their best clients, but what charles doesn't know is that he never sleeps with anyone - he's just there on the offchance he might get to talk to charles (who doesn't do it for money anymore), because in erik's fucked up little brain, that makes total sense.
can be with or without powers, and as many other pairings as you want.
Notes: Even if you don't usually like hooker!fic, read this. It's actually really plotty and think-y.

Prompt: Sleeping Beauty.
It's Erik who's asleep in the castle tower.
It's Charles who has to get through all those thorns to free him.

Prompt: Modern AU, where an older Alex (in his mid twenties?) somehow figures out/recieves the news that, no, his younger brother didn't die in the crash like he'd been told, and then sets out to find him. The catch is, Scott's been adopted and adores his 'dad', who is incidentally the adorkable Hank McCoy.
Soap drama plots, ahoy!
Title: comic book store AU ***
Prompt: We have coffee shop fics, we have book shop fics. HOW CAN WE NOT HAVE COMIC BOOK SHOP FICS YET?!
Charles is the owner a comic shop. Erik is a comic book artist/writer who wants to have his work sold in Charles' store. Or something like that.
Title: maybe we reached the mountain peak [and there's no more left to climb] [1b]
Prompt: I DON'T EVEN KNOW, OKAY? I just need an AU where Erik and Raven are total BFFS, and Erik is head-over-heels-totally-perving-out in love with her adorable, clueless, older brother, Charles.
But don’t ask Erik about it. He’ll swear it’s merely an infatuation - a passing fancy, at best. So maybe he purposely drops pens because he knows Charles will bend over and pick it up for him. He's just aware how much it pleases Charles to be nice and Erik is kind enough to give him ample opportunities to be just that. And yes, fine, he asks to borrow books on the top shelf because it requires Charles to stretch far beyond his height and struggle a bit. But that is completely for Charles’ own benefit. Maybe with all that stretching, he’ll finally grow an inch or two and he’ll stop being the perfect height for Erik to hitch up against a wall and -
Like he said, it's merely an infatuation. Nothing more.
Really, all he wants is to fuck the living daylights out of completely ruin and defile make him moan and gasp until he doesn't resemble anything that could be considered scholarly have an intelligent conversation with him over a desk table chair counter bed dresser couch piano greedy, yes; picky, no game of chess.
The worst part of all of that? He actually really means it about just being happy playing chess.
And normally, Raven would notice this kind of thing (especially since Erik is horrible at being subtle) and have a few words to say about it, but she's just a tad too busy trying to get her brother's assistant to freaking notice her.
Title: and it goes like this
Prompt: Charles is a part-timer at a small coffee shop. Erik is a mysterious customer who hates all that fancy skinny-decaf-latte-with-one-vanilla-shot stuff and they flirt outrageously over pastries whenever Charles is on break.
Title: vexed to nightmare ***
Prompt:Basically, everyone as a covert-ops or military team of some sort. CIA, army, NSA, I don't care. I'd just love to see our favorite team work some secret spy action, perhaps against two-bit terrorist Shaw?
Title: i'm lying next to you (in all of my clothes)
Prompt:For some reason or another, the gang HAS to film a porn movie. Maybe the government is forcing them, maybe a mutant will only join them but he/she's a sick bastard and wants it, maybe Sean gambled away Charles' money and they have to make it back asap in order to keep the house idk.
Anyway, I want a lot of lulz and bad acting and maybe Sean writing really bad dialogue/scenarios that they all have to film. No established relationships, please! They pick out names from a hat and the pairings for their porno end up being Erik/Charles and Hank/Alex and... Hank/Charles.
After their own respective sex scenes, Erik and Alex get extremely jealous and angry that Hank and Charles are going to have sex with each other.
Notes: Actually a porno!AU.
Title: Cognizance
Prompt:Not only does being connected to Shaw at the time of his death put Charles through some serious pain, it renders him comatose.
So, when Erik comes out with his trophy, instead of getting to give his speech, he is greeted by Raven freaking out because something is Very Wrong with Charles.
They use Azazel's awesome-ness to get off the beach before they are exploded by missiles.
So The Divorce is avoided and Charles isn't paralyzed, but his consciousness is lost somewhere. Cue Erik breaking Emma out and making her try and help. Emma can't finds Charles' consciousness, just that it's buried somewhere deep in the back of his mind.
Cue super cliche telepathic-Emma-sends-Erik-into-Charles'-head-and-Erik-has-to-find-him cuteness. Can be simple or an arduous journey through memories and worries and nightmares and dreams to find him and bring him back to reality. (Would prefer the latter, but will be happy any way <3) After all the joyous relief has settled down, they can sit and talk things out properly instead of all the That-Could-Have-Been-Worded-So-Much-Better communication fail that still was really adorable that happened on the beach.
Bonus Points if when he hears Raven freaking out about Charles, he unceremoniously drops Shaw's body onto the beach when he runs over to check because Charles > Dead!Shaw.
Super Bonus Points if Azazel, Riptide, and Emma end up merging into the family. (Realistically slowly of course.)
Title: Amazonia
Prompt: at an exotic place, making a documentary AU. Erik is the cameraman and Charles is a scientist or the narrator or something.
It's up to anon where they go and what they are filming. Maybe Antarctica to film penguins, maybe the rain forest to film the tribes. I'd like it if Erik is a veteran at this stuff and Charles is new to it, and Erik finds himself falling for this naive over-enthusiastic young man.
Anon can make it short and sweet, or an epic adventure story. If so, maybe they get cut off from the rest of the crew by a landslide. Maybe the locals aren't very friendly. Maybe they get attacked by a wild animal. Anything.
Powers or no powers is up to anon!
Title: Untitled ***
Prompt: I want to see a cat and mouse game between detective!Charles and serial-killer!Erik. I want to see Charles obsessed over Erik, and Erik doing crazy things to get Charles' attention. I want to see Erik being all possessive over his detective and going batshit if people try to interfere (other killers, other cops, anyone)! Powers or no powers is up to anon!
Notes: Even if you don't usually like serial killer fic (I don't), read this fic. It's really well written, and if it makes you feel better, this Erik is like canon Nazi hunter Erik, killing "bad guys".
Title: First Class Style
Prompt: Charles and Raven are the hosts of a TV show that does makeovers, and one day their candidate is a stylistically clueless Erik Lehnsherr!
Title: Let's Get Together (Yeah, Yeah, Yeah) ***
Prompt: THE KIDS MEET EACH OTHER AT SUMMER CAMP. GROUP A GETS INTO A MASSIVE PRANK WAR WITH GROUP B. ALL GET IN TROUBLE AND ARE FORCED TO SHARE A CABIN AND EXTRA CHORES TOGETHER AS PUNISHMENT. THEY SOMEHOW FIGURE OUT THAT THEY WERE ALL ADOPTED BY ERIK AND CHARLES BUT BECAUSE OF BIGOTED ADOPTION LAWS GROUP A WAS LEGALLY ADOPTED BY CHARLES AS A "SINGLE PARENT" SAME GOES FOR GROUP B AND ERIK. IN THE DIVORCE THEY WENT WITH THEIR RESPECTIVE LEGAL PARENT. (okay caps lock making me tired) They may kinda remember each-other as toddlers/kids due to age gaps which is sorta how they all figure it out. They obviously can't do the switching places thing. HOWEVER THEY DO IT THEY CONSPIRE TO RE-UNITE THEIR PARENTS. Along the way learning to love each-other and having to break up the potential union between Erik and the oh-so-wrong-doesn't-care-about-the-kids or whatever Emma/whoever (alternately Charles and the not-really-evil-but-just-not-right Moira).
HILARITY ENSUES
(This is one where Alex/Hank doesn't work so well even if you split them between groups A and B and they're adopted and never knew each-other because they were too little)(but if you wanna try and swing it OP is a fan)(also ALL THE KIDS, I mean Angel and Darwin too)(they get left out sometimes)(they don't necessarily have to be part of the KIDS kids but OP would love to see them there in some respect)
OR OR FOR A SUB PLOT Alex and Hank can be awkwardly/competitively crushing on each-other at camp. But before they get around to doing anything they find the Split Photo of their parents that Raven and I dunno Sean? Darwin if you included him with the kids? have. And then they're all OH GOD THIS IS AWKWARD and are still crushing while trying to conspire the unity of Erik and Charles and I don't know take it away. They made not!sibling romance work in Clueless maybe it can work here.
Title: Bad Romance ***
Prompt: Erik Lensherr is the Ke$ha-esque pop star €rik. Charles Xavier is his number one fan.
Notes: Much less cracky than it sounds!
Title: The Human Abstract
Prompt: Charles gets kicked out of his home at some point while defending Raven. (Not necessarily right after finding her in the kitchen, could be years), years pass. At the
present" moment in time of prompt, to help support them, Charles is acting as a Rent-A-Boy. Erik's Schmidt hunting journey leads him to the same area that Charles and Raven live in, he happens across Rent-A-Boy!Charles, and through however writer-anon sees fit, they end up doing naughty things.
Charles can, of course, tell that Erik is a mutant as well and while he has built up walls for everyone else, he ends up slipping and projecting while they're having sex at some point during his meeting with him because Erik is special and there is just something about him and they were meant to be together. Cue cute "you're not alone"-ness.
Would also like Erik with the money he's obtained (because SOMEONE will buy that gold off of him, and how else has he managed to afford to travel all over the place, I mean really) to be able to for once be the one to take care of Charles and Raven so that Charles doesn't have to do that sort of thing anymore.
Bonus points if Erik could tell when they inevitably connected telepathically that Charles used to be this insanely optimistic thing but has become pretty jaded (even though his morals keep him from just making people hand him money) and he doesn't want Charles to end up like him hating the world and everyone in it and through trying to help Charles re-see the good in the world, Erik ends up seeing it too and sap sap sap sap mush happy endings, love conquers all, yes.
Title: Hands of Blue
Prompt: Can be AU (set in the Firefly universe) or set after the events of First Class. This secret organization manages to capture Charles and use him for severe experimentations and try to turn him into a weapon. Erik and the other mutants are eventually able to save Charles, but his mind is severely damaged because he discovered a horrible secret about the organization through his telepathy.
Of course, the organization is going to try and get Charles back, and Erik tries to protect Charles while restoring his sanity and exposing the organization to the world.
Make it Charles/Erik. I don't really care if it's established relationship or if they become a couple during the fic.
Bonus points: If Charles says at one point "I can kill you with my brain".
Title: Fatherhood
Prompt: I know that we've had the twins in the meme before, but have we had any David?
I'd like to see Charles being an almost over-attentive father, being very aware of the fact he's a single father, that he's pretty young to have a kid, that his own parents didn't do a good job. In essence, he's terrified of screwing up.
I'd also love to see the other mutant's reaction to finding out Charles has a child and perhaps some amusement watching Charles with him.
Title: A Human Behavior ***
Prompt: In the movie Erik respects Charles and considers him an equal from the first time they meet, due to Charles being the first adult mutant he meets. But... What if Charles was human? Would Erik still like him?
I'd love to see an AU were mutants are the ruling race, with Erik as one of their leaders, and humans are second class citizens (they can be slaves too, but I've read one too many slave fics). Charles is a human who helps young mutants learn how to control their powers (at the X-mansion or anywhere else), but some mutants acuse him of "crippling" his students' powers and he is judged by a mutant court. He meets Erik there (he can be part of the jury or simply interested in the case)
Title: Untitled
Prompt: I'd like to see some lone-ranger!Erik and good-townsfolk!Charles.
So the town is the kind that gets constantly raided by bandits, and they keep promoting new sheriffs which get killed within a week. Charles works some innocuous job like... being the town preacher... and Erik is some stranger that wanders in all dark and mysterious.
Erik wants nothing to do with the townsfolk cause he's intent on his own mission/quest for revenge/he's too jaded/something and he just wants to pass right on through.
Then - because there's no one left who's brave enough - Charles takes up the job of Sheriff.
Maybe Erik still leaves (but obv, he's gonna come back ;D), and maybe Shaw is the big bad bandit, maybe Hank or Alex or Sean can have jobs as deputy or black smith or whatever. Raven could be a bar wench or bar maid or something - it's up to anon!
Title: (To Me) You're Strange and You're Beautiful
Prompt: Charles and Erik grow up together either as mutants or humans. Either way, Charles is the fat, pasty kid that no one wants to hang out with while Erik is the epitome of cool and awesome. They are unexpectedly good friends and Erik is ubber protective of Charles and stops all the bullies while Charles is the one that really sees Erik for Erik.
Then they move away from each other or something and when they meet again they're adults and Charles has finally ~bloomed~. However, even with his new found grace and glory and sex appeal, and even though Charles isn't naive anymore and is clearly a suave and whip-smart young man, Erik is twice as protective (+ new rage / jealousy / possessiveness), wanting to stop all the new ill-intentioned people that are suddenly attracted to Charles and who want to take advantage of him.
BONUS: Charles is not actually any of the things he appears to be. He is still naive and innocent and gooey on the inside, and all his sex appeal and suaveness comes from hard practice, but he wants to convince Erik he's new and improved, thinking himself unworthy of Erik (when actually Erik thinks he's unworthy ~UST~)
Title: I Like it Rough
Prompt: LoanShark! Erik is your typical Hot BAMF! guy. He almost always wins anything he wants with his 'helpers' Alex & Scott. But one rainy night when he was left in an alley bruised and beat up, a very charming grad student took him home and patched him up with TLC. Erik falls head over heels for the Charles, and after he sneaks out of Charles apartment (because he's like that), sends one of the boys to keep a look out over the man that saved his life/soul.
Time skip to a few years...
Shaw is a Rival loan shark/mob boss/whatever that loaned an obscene amount of money to Cain who used the most logical collateral, CHARLES! So on collection day, Cain is nowhere to be found, so Azazel & Riptide take Charles to their boss. AdorableNaive!Charles doesn't know what's going on, that he's actually going to be sold off in a private auction as a Sex slave.
Alex/Scott immediately report to Erik, who then goes BAMF! on Shaw's Auction, dropping off $$$$$$$$$ for Charles. He takes Naked!Charles to his apartment/flat/loft/building and decides to ravish him since he just paid an OBSCENE amount of money for Charles.
After that, Charles is like "Wtf are you?!" and Erik realizes that Charles doesn't remember HIM! This makes BAMF! Erik really sad and do the next logical thing, hold the OBSCENE AMOUNT OF MONEY over Charles as debt. And the only way Charles can pay off the debt is if he keeps having sex with Erik. The only other way Charles can be free is if he remembers Erik from the beat up guy he nursed a few years ago (but that's not gonna happen).
Hot Smex and Party fun ensues from there.
Bonus: If the boys, Alex or Scott starts having "Feelings" for Charles because he's sweet to everyone else except Erik. And Erik is like "Touch Charles and YOU WILL BE SWIMMING WITH THE FISHES!!!1*
Title: There and Back Again
Prompt: Erik is a successful, famous actor (maybe with a couple of kids?). After signing a contract for an upcoming action blockbuster (could be a movie similar to XMFC! XD), he hangs out with his friends (maybe Emma and the others?) at the club to celebrate. There, he engages in a night of drunk, sizzling-hot one night stand with a stranger. Although the next morning he has no idea who the man was.
On the next meeting for the film, he meets his co-star, Charles, a prospective stage-actor from England. Then it suddenly hits him- it was Charles with whom he'd spent the night with. Cue all kinds of awkward shenanigans and UST during the filming.
Bonus points for featuring other characters from the original movie.
Double-bonus if the wicked UST between Charles and Erik lead to countless NGs and taking multiple shots of the same scene and it drives the crew nuts XD
Title: Fade to Black ***
Prompt: I picture Shaw as a very onesided kind of guy. There's just this wall between him and the rest of the world. He thinks what he thinks, and no amount of talking or reason can change that.
Which is bad news for Charles when Shaw decides on day they're "Meant to be."
I mean they've maybe met twice, three times, in a coffee shop or something, until he starts stalking Charles. THEN they get to know eachother REAL well much to Charles' dismay.
"Don't I have a say in this?"
"Of course not!"
Charles' protective boyfriend Erik doesn't much care for this either.
Unfortunetly, again, Shaw hears and sees what he wants, and nothing more. Charles' protests, Erik's threats, they go in one ear and out the other.
I'd love this to be formatted very much like a horror, or thriller movie, if that makes sense.
Also I'd love for this to switch POVs a lot. I feel like Charles' fear, Erik's anger/worry, and Shaw's creepy awesomeness would make for a combined VERY intresting read. And Shaw's psychopathic POV would be just fascinating if written correctly (which is why I'm prompting this instead of writing it myself ;).
Anyway, go nuts!
Title: Linger ***
Prompt: Erik gets a new apartment.
Charles haunts this apartment.
They fall in love.
(Anyone filling this can decide if Charles is really dead, in a coma or anything else, and if they’re mutants or not…)

Prompt: I would love a human AU fic, where Charles still had a disability.
Title: the only living boy in new york
Prompt: Erik is between jobs and finds himself working at a flower shop. Erik hates everything about his new job: the plants, the customers, answering the phone, making deliveries, the romance the shop caters to, etc.
But he kinda likes Charles, a worker at the store next to Erik's.
And then Erik encounters a customer who wants flowers to be delivered to Charles. Of course, Erik is sure to accidentally deliver the flowers elsewhere / accidentally lose the request / deliver flowers that are ugly as fuck / etc. And then Erik encounters a ton more customers wanting flowers for Charles. Cue raging!jealous!possessive!Erik who sabotages like there's no tomorrow.
Bonus: If the flowers for Charles weren't romantic at all, but congrats on his thesis or something.
Bonus2: If Charles works at a gift shop, and has been similarly sabotaging customers' attempts to send Erik gift baskets.
Title: I'd Rather Fall in Chocolate
Prompt: Charles runs a candy/sweets shop. Erik is a single dad with kids that love sweets, and they drag Erik to the Charles' shop every week.
Title: Of Sharks and Scientists
Prompt: Erik is a shark at an aquarium, Charles is his feeder/trainer/handler/whatever. Would prefer a non-powered AU, but if they're still mutants that's fine too.
Something happens, and Erik is transformed into a human. However, he still keeps the single-minded predator mentality, and he's entirely consumed by the idea of finding and killing the man (Shaw) who captured him and put him in the aquarium in the first place.
Charles is in charge of Erik and doesn't stop being in charge just because of a little thing like him magically changing species, and winds up having to introduce Erik to human inventions like clothing, and also the concept of non-meat food.
Somewhere along the line, Erik starts to change from being an impossibly focused killer into someone with the full range of human emotions. Would love to see fluff and Erik trying to court Charles and not being very good at it, but if authoranon prefers they can just remain friends.

Charles and Erik are students at Oxford in the same timeframe of the movie. Erik is a Holocaust survivor and basically alone in the world, studying in England through some kind of scholarship/grant. Charles is originally British, from old money, who's returned from a childhood in America.
Charles rescues Erik in a way that is up to the anon, and the two of them become friends, possibly flatmates. Despite the sexual tension between them, neither thinks that their desires are reciprocated, so they are both reluctant to act on them. Erik likes Charles but feels frustrated at his friend's privileged background and casual wealth (i.e., he always insists on picking up the check) and limited comprehension for everything he's been through.
Much angst, with a happy ending please!

Prompt: SO. Erik's wife Magda gave birth to the twins, but the pregnancy nearly killed her, so they decide to not have more children. But Magda loves kids, and it leads them to adopting the Summers kids in the fully legal way. Magda dies before they can all really start being a family, and Erik is heartbroken, and somehow he ends up accindentally finding and taking in stray kids, just completely at random. First there's Angel, and then Sean, and then Hank (although he blames Alex for that one), and then kind-of-sort-of adopting Armando. And his house is not nearly big enough to deal with these children and their drama and hormones. So he looks around at properties, and finds this pretty awesome deal on this enormous mansion being rented out by CFX, and of course he grabs that deal as fast as he can because he seems incapable of not adopting a new kid every six months and he woefully admits he needs room to expand.
So they live there happily for a couple years, and then they are driving back to the mansion from town and there's a hapless-seeming hitchhiker wearing a ratty woolen sweater and old jeans carrying a battered ancient suitcase, and Wanda is all HEY DADDY LOOK IT'S YOUR NEXT KID. But Charles is obviously not a kid. And is actually kind of a flirt. Erik still gives him a place to sleep though, and Charles looks so damn amused all the time while Erik is showing him around the mansion and telling him he can stay if he helps Erik out with the massive amount of children he accidentally collects.
And they fall in love, and then Raven appears and is all "charles who are these people in our house and why do they think you're their previously homeless mother."

Just a good, shoot-em-up style fic. Maybe Moira can be the owner of a whorehouse. Maybe Erik has a duel with Shaw at high noon. Just anything that takes place in that time and setting.

And then Erik leaves to follow a cue and kill Shaw, and when he comes back, he is a little crazy himself, with nowhere to go. Then he finds out that Charles now own a flowershop and lives in a big house that he inherited from his father and best of all, Charles can is cured, he can see again. When Erik firts enters the flowershop, obviously Charles doesn't recognize him, but when they touch hands, Charles know that the man that help him so much is Erik, and then it's Charles turn to help Erik.

I'd like a BDSM society AU where people date. Some people play around, some people want to go steady, people have different kinks and sometimes that's enough to be sexually incompatible and mostly people who are similar compromise and make it work even if though their desires aren't identical. Everybody negotiates and maybe changes their boundaries over time. It's all very...normal. Only kinky. And what people like in bed/their sexual identity doesn't have rigid legal ramifications (although it can certainly affect how people perceive someone, especially if it's set in the metaphorically sexist-equivalent sixties).
So. Modern or not, powers or not. Luckily he happens to have a noble on hand who fits the requirements and is a mutant... the last descendent of the House of Xavier! (Alternatively, a lawyer tracks down the only noble-blooded mutant in the USA and Charles and Erik meet for the first time at their engagement party).

Cue Erik bending over backwards to steal Charles' heart.
Bonus: For Erik's parents, especially his mother, to be alive and been wanting Erik to settle down again. In my head, I see them as two very busy and successful men. So they're often abroad and rarely get the chance to see each other in the flesh.
A slow burn friendship to romance would be fab.
Title: Da Capo, Dolce Piu Dolce
Prompt: complete AU. Erik and Charles are older, like in their 40s. Their friends have mentioned an "Erik" and a "Charles" respectively to each of them, but as those are common names, they don't think much of it. Then they end up running into each other at a party one of their mutual friends has thrown and they are all "Erik?!", "Charles?!". And everyone is like "... you two know each other?"
It turns out that they're exs that dated back when they were younger, and it didn't work out for whatever reason.
They cautiously start talking again (totally awkward at first) and they find that they still click just as much as they did when they were younger, if not moreso now that they're mellower and wiser.
Neither one of them are taken or interested in anyone else at the moment, so eventually they slowly start to rekindle their relationship.
And this time it works out. :)

Prompt: In a world where mutants and humans live, more or less, side by side, with only the prejudices between the two that one will find in some people when faced with something different no matter what that difference may be...
Erik Lensherr is not quiet in his, to put it mildly, disrespect for humans; those born without powers whom he considers beneath even his notice on a good day, the recipients of his outright mockery and contempt should an unfortunate human happen to bump into him on a day he is feeling less than his best. Erik is quite happy to continue along, interacting amicably with only his own kind, his friends sharing his belief that mutants, being better than humans, should not have to deal with those inferior to them, until the day he first sees Charles Xavier, Professor of genetics, a few years younger than Erik himself but looking younger even than that, gorgeous, a good deal shorter than himself, the most powerful telepath apparently anyone has ever heard of (though you wouldn't know it to look at him, he's just so tiny) -- Charles Xavier, whose amazing blue eyes immediately shutter and whose posture immediately stiffens and whose voice takes on a decidedly chill tone after Erik introduces himself.
Charles Xavier, the adopted father of a completely human toddler, born to his deceased best friend Moira MacTaggert, a woman who took a bullet meant for him -- a bullet that was aimed, not by a human who hated him for being a mutant, but by a mutant who hated him for interacting so freely with humans.

Only problem is, Erik starts to fall for Charles.

Prompt: Basically I want the Twilight book/film/saga (whichever goes for your fancy) where Charles is Bella Swan (hehe) and Erik plays the broody, grumpy, turtle-neck wearing Edward Cullen.

Now, to put a bit of a spin on the whole thing, instead of having mutant powers, their abilities are actually part of their vampiric abilities.
Charles, as a human, has really strong telepathic and telekinetic abilities but they're latent since he's only human - so he only feels emotions and can move a tin can when he' stressed etc.
Erik has the ability to manipulate metal but also, as a secondary ability, he can hear Telepaths. So obviously he's interested in Charles when he arrives in Forks xD

This is a rec list of all the WIPs I think that everybody should be following on the x-men kinkmemes. All of them are Charles/Erik, have Charles/Erik in the background, or are focused on Charles & Erik friendship.
I made this list because I've been in other fandoms where the kinkmemes were huge, but it was always way too intimidating to even figure out where to start looking for fills/wips. Reason 2: I'm also hoping a rec might convince some of the authors to update some of the fills that haven't been updated in a while ;)

Theoretically, Erik/Charles would be great, but it's kind of hard to manage that, what with how they've split apart. ;____; But I'm fine with anything, really! Just... this kink. Um. Yeah.
Title: a thousand pages (give or take a few) ***
Prompt: dueling used bookstores, run by Erik and Charles. They each send various scouts (Raven, Azazel, etc.) to check out the competition, only to find that the competition is not only hot, but also incredibly fond of Gatsby and the Lost Generation. Cue blind dates/book swaps/attempting to out-recommend the other, with a happy ending (perhaps a store merge?).

Prompt:An alternate universe (they're all not mutants, just human) where Charles is a social worker who fosters troubled kids, and one day he meets Erik, an ex-druggie/ex-convict (or whatever else, I leave it to anon to figure out which demons are chasing him) who reluctantly agrees to stay for only a while, but ends up staying for good and helping Charles to raise the kids. Awkward parenting ensues!

Prompt:Charles, Emma and Raven have formed an escort service for the upper echelons of society, providing visual and mental arm candy for the business men and women of the world who don't want the hassle of real relationships but need to broadcast a 'settled' persona.
Charles is requested by a Erik Lensherr, who is attempting to step out from under the shadow of his oppressive father, Sebastian Shaw (Erik took his mother's name). Despite being financially successful and independent his father still dominates his life (how is up to the authour). Erik wants to use his father's rampant homophobia to escape, hoping introducing his male fiance - who can psychically determine how best to infuriate his father - will repulse his father from his life.
Catch: Erik is straight but cannot work out his increasingly intense feelings regarding Charles. Charles is bi but after an initial reading of Erik (where he determined that Erik was heterosexual and also wherein Erik had him promise not to read him again) is determined to keep things professional. However he is also falling for Erik and is quietly suffering over Erik's passes, which he assumes are for the benefit of the charade.
Title: With Space to Swing ***
Prompt: Erik as a brooding, obsessive detective who's teetering on vigilantism in order to catch and kill a charismatic and elusive serial killer, Sebastian Shaw, who murdered his mother in front of his eyes. Moira is the lead agent of the FBI unit assigned to Shaw's case, and she ends up recruiting Dr. Charles Xavier, a reknowned specialist (clinical/criminal psychologist? a profiler? what?), who also happens to be a brother of the unit's newest recruit, Raven.
In the course of the investigation, Erik and the team cross path, and Erik and Charles get on like a house on fire. (And together, they fight crime!) I can totally see it, with Erik wanting to avenge his mother's death once they corner Shaw and Charles appealing to Erik's nature, and so on and so forth, but I would also love to see them solving other mysteries and fighting the good fight.

Prompt: Charles is the young boarding school student who volunteers at his family owned private hospital during his breaks. he mostly hangs around the children's ward, entertaining the kids. but there's this one patient in the neuro wing that he visits everyday before he goes home. this patient is in a coma (i know,right?! XD) but he reads to him, regardless. Charles is very attached to Jane Austen, so he reads her novels to this man.
years after, the patient is a normal person who works as a trauma surgeon at Xavier's Medical Institute. always grumpy, always testy, always sadistic to the interns, but have a soft spot for Jane Austen and when he closes his eyes he can hear a voice reading the words to him. he calls that voice his Austen muse.
and one day, he hears that voice. this time, its not from inside his own head.

Erik is the most eligible billionaire. He is a self-made man who amassed wealth using his uncanny ability to locate gold deposits. He controls several gold mines all over the world. But his love life is anything but golden.
Alex is Erik's trouble fixer/right hand man. Concern over the effect of the PR nightmare that is Erik's latest break-up over stock prices, Alex decides to engage the help of Charles and Hank.
Erik and Alex are the clients from hell. Charles and Hank don't know why their system fails to get a match for Erik -- until Hank runs Charles's profile against Erik's. They make a golden match. The problem is that they don't seem to have anything in common other than chess.
But Hank will try to make it happen, for the sake of their reputation. He also never wants to see Alex ever again. The sooner he can make Charles and Erik fall in love, the sooner he'd get rid of Alex's presence in his office, in his life.

Prompt:Not only does being connected to Shaw at the time of his death put Charles through some serious pain, it renders him comatose.
So, when Erik comes out with his trophy, instead of getting to give his speech, he is greeted by Raven freaking out because something is Very Wrong with Charles.
They use Azazel's awesome-ness to get off the beach before they are exploded by missiles.
So The Divorce is avoided and Charles isn't paralyzed, but his consciousness is lost somewhere. Cue Erik breaking Emma out and making her try and help. Emma can't finds Charles' consciousness, just that it's buried somewhere deep in the back of his mind.
Cue super cliche telepathic-Emma-sends-Erik-into-Charles'-head-and-Erik-has-to-find-him cuteness. Can be simple or an arduous journey through memories and worries and nightmares and dreams to find him and bring him back to reality. (Would prefer the latter, but will be happy any way <3) After all the joyous relief has settled down, they can sit and talk things out properly instead of all the That-Could-Have-Been-Worded-So-Much-Better communication fail that still was really adorable that happened on the beach.
Bonus Points if when he hears Raven freaking out about Charles, he unceremoniously drops Shaw's body onto the beach when he runs over to check because Charles > Dead!Shaw.
Super Bonus Points if Azazel, Riptide, and Emma end up merging into the family. (Realistically slowly of course.)

Prompt: at an exotic place, making a documentary AU. Erik is the cameraman and Charles is a scientist or the narrator or something.
It's up to anon where they go and what they are filming. Maybe Antarctica to film penguins, maybe the rain forest to film the tribes. I'd like it if Erik is a veteran at this stuff and Charles is new to it, and Erik finds himself falling for this naive over-enthusiastic young man.
Anon can make it short and sweet, or an epic adventure story. If so, maybe they get cut off from the rest of the crew by a landslide. Maybe the locals aren't very friendly. Maybe they get attacked by a wild animal. Anything.

IN THE DIVORCE THEY WENT WITH THEIR RESPECTIVE LEGAL PARENT. (okay caps lock making me tired) They may kinda remember each-other as toddlers/kids due to age gaps which is sorta how they all figure it out. They obviously can't do the switching places thing. HOWEVER THEY DO IT THEY CONSPIRE TO RE-UNITE THEIR PARENTS. Along the way learning to love each-other and having to break up the potential union between Erik and the oh-so-wrong-doesn't-care-about-the-kids or whatever Emma/whoever (alternately Charles and the not-really-evil-but-just-not-right Moira).

Prompt: Charles gets kicked out of his home at some point while defending Raven. (Not necessarily right after finding her in the kitchen, could be years), years pass. At the
present" moment in time of prompt, to help support them, Charles is acting as a Rent-A-Boy. Erik's Schmidt hunting journey leads him to the same area that Charles and Raven live in, he happens across Rent-A-Boy!Charles, and through however writer-anon sees fit, they end up doing naughty things.
Charles can, of course, tell that Erik is a mutant as well and while he has built up walls for everyone else, he ends up slipping and projecting while they're having sex at some point during his meeting with him because Erik is special and there is just something about him and they were meant to be together. Cue cute "you're not alone"-ness.
Would also like Erik with the money he's obtained (because SOMEONE will buy that gold off of him, and how else has he managed to afford to travel all over the place, I mean really) to be able to for once be the one to take care of Charles and Raven so that Charles doesn't have to do that sort of thing anymore.
Bonus points if Erik could tell when they inevitably connected telepathically that Charles used to be this insanely optimistic thing but has become pretty jaded (even though his morals keep him from just making people hand him money) and he doesn't want Charles to end up like him hating the world and everyone in it and through trying to help Charles re-see the good in the world, Erik ends up seeing it too and sap sap sap sap mush happy endings, love conquers all, yes.
Title: Hands of Blue
Prompt: Can be AU (set in the Firefly universe) or set after the events of First Class. This secret organization manages to capture Charles and use him for severe experimentations and try to turn him into a weapon. Erik and the other mutants are eventually able to save Charles, but his mind is severely damaged because he discovered a horrible secret about the organization through his telepathy.
Of course, the organization is going to try and get Charles back, and Erik tries to protect Charles while restoring his sanity and exposing the organization to the world.
Make it Charles/Erik. I don't really care if it's established relationship or if they become a couple during the fic.
Bonus points: If Charles says at one point "I can kill you with my brain".
Title: Fatherhood
Prompt: I know that we've had the twins in the meme before, but have we had any David?
I'd like to see Charles being an almost over-attentive father, being very aware of the fact he's a single father, that he's pretty young to have a kid, that his own parents didn't do a good job. In essence, he's terrified of screwing up.
I'd also love to see the other mutant's reaction to finding out Charles has a child and perhaps some amusement watching Charles with him.
Title: A Human Behavior ***
Prompt: In the movie Erik respects Charles and considers him an equal from the first time they meet, due to Charles being the first adult mutant he meets. But... What if Charles was human? Would Erik still like him?
I'd love to see an AU were mutants are the ruling race, with Erik as one of their leaders, and humans are second class citizens (they can be slaves too, but I've read one too many slave fics). Charles is a human who helps young mutants learn how to control their powers (at the X-mansion or anywhere else), but some mutants acuse him of "crippling" his students' powers and he is judged by a mutant court. He meets Erik there (he can be part of the jury or simply interested in the case)

Prompt: I'd like to see some lone-ranger!Erik and good-townsfolk!Charles.
So the town is the kind that gets constantly raided by bandits, and they keep promoting new sheriffs which get killed within a week. Charles works some innocuous job like... being the town preacher... and Erik is some stranger that wanders in all dark and mysterious.
Erik wants nothing to do with the townsfolk cause he's intent on his own mission/quest for revenge/he's too jaded/something and he just wants to pass right on through.
Then - because there's no one left who's brave enough - Charles takes up the job of Sheriff.
Maybe Erik still leaves (but obv, he's gonna come back ;D), and maybe Shaw is the big bad bandit, maybe Hank or Alex or Sean can have jobs as deputy or black smith or whatever. Raven could be a bar wench or bar maid or something - it's up to anon!
Title: (To Me) You're Strange and You're Beautiful
Prompt: Charles and Erik grow up together either as mutants or humans. Either way, Charles is the fat, pasty kid that no one wants to hang out with while Erik is the epitome of cool and awesome. They are unexpectedly good friends and Erik is ubber protective of Charles and stops all the bullies while Charles is the one that really sees Erik for Erik.
Then they move away from each other or something and when they meet again they're adults and Charles has finally ~bloomed~. However, even with his new found grace and glory and sex appeal, and even though Charles isn't naive anymore and is clearly a suave and whip-smart young man, Erik is twice as protective (+ new rage / jealousy / possessiveness), wanting to stop all the new ill-intentioned people that are suddenly attracted to Charles and who want to take advantage of him.
BONUS: Charles is not actually any of the things he appears to be. He is still naive and innocent and gooey on the inside, and all his sex appeal and suaveness comes from hard practice, but he wants to convince Erik he's new and improved, thinking himself unworthy of Erik (when actually Erik thinks he's unworthy ~UST~)
Title: I Like it Rough
Prompt: LoanShark! Erik is your typical Hot BAMF! guy. He almost always wins anything he wants with his 'helpers' Alex & Scott. But one rainy night when he was left in an alley bruised and beat up, a very charming grad student took him home and patched him up with TLC. Erik falls head over heels for the Charles, and after he sneaks out of Charles apartment (because he's like that), sends one of the boys to keep a look out over the man that saved his life/soul.
Time skip to a few years...
Shaw is a Rival loan shark/mob boss/whatever that loaned an obscene amount of money to Cain who used the most logical collateral, CHARLES! So on collection day, Cain is nowhere to be found, so Azazel & Riptide take Charles to their boss. AdorableNaive!Charles doesn't know what's going on, that he's actually going to be sold off in a private auction as a Sex slave.
Alex/Scott immediately report to Erik, who then goes BAMF! on Shaw's Auction, dropping off $$$$$$$$$ for Charles. He takes Naked!Charles to his apartment/flat/loft/building and decides to ravish him since he just paid an OBSCENE amount of money for Charles.
After that, Charles is like "Wtf are you?!" and Erik realizes that Charles doesn't remember HIM! This makes BAMF! Erik really sad and do the next logical thing, hold the OBSCENE AMOUNT OF MONEY over Charles as debt. And the only way Charles can pay off the debt is if he keeps having sex with Erik. The only other way Charles can be free is if he remembers Erik from the beat up guy he nursed a few years ago (but that's not gonna happen).
Hot Smex and Party fun ensues from there.
Bonus: If the boys, Alex or Scott starts having "Feelings" for Charles because he's sweet to everyone else except Erik. And Erik is like "Touch Charles and YOU WILL BE SWIMMING WITH THE FISHES!!!1*
Title: There and Back Again
Prompt: Erik is a successful, famous actor (maybe with a couple of kids?). After signing a contract for an upcoming action blockbuster (could be a movie similar to XMFC! XD), he hangs out with his friends (maybe Emma and the others?) at the club to celebrate. There, he engages in a night of drunk, sizzling-hot one night stand with a stranger. Although the next morning he has no idea who the man was.
On the next meeting for the film, he meets his co-star, Charles, a prospective stage-actor from England. Then it suddenly hits him- it was Charles with whom he'd spent the night with. Cue all kinds of awkward shenanigans and UST during the filming.
Bonus points for featuring other characters from the original movie.
Double-bonus if the wicked UST between Charles and Erik lead to countless NGs and taking multiple shots of the same scene and it drives the crew nuts XD

Prompt: I picture Shaw as a very onesided kind of guy. There's just this wall between him and the rest of the world. He thinks what he thinks, and no amount of talking or reason can change that.
Which is bad news for Charles when Shaw decides on day they're "Meant to be."
I mean they've maybe met twice, three times, in a coffee shop or something, until he starts stalking Charles. THEN they get to know eachother REAL well much to Charles' dismay.
"Don't I have a say in this?"
"Of course not!"
Charles' protective boyfriend Erik doesn't much care for this either.
Unfortunetly, again, Shaw hears and sees what he wants, and nothing more. Charles' protests, Erik's threats, they go in one ear and out the other.
I'd love this to be formatted very much like a horror, or thriller movie, if that makes sense.
Also I'd love for this to switch POVs a lot. I feel like Charles' fear, Erik's anger/worry, and Shaw's creepy awesomeness would make for a combined VERY intresting read. And Shaw's psychopathic POV would be just fascinating if written correctly (which is why I'm prompting this instead of writing it myself ;).

But he kinda likes Charles, a worker at the store next to Erik's.
And then Erik encounters a customer who wants flowers to be delivered to Charles. Of course, Erik is sure to accidentally deliver the flowers elsewhere / accidentally lose the request / deliver flowers that are ugly as fuck / etc. And then Erik encounters a ton more customers wanting flowers for Charles. Cue raging!jealous!possessive!Erik who sabotages like there's no tomorrow.
Bonus: If the flowers for Charles weren't romantic at all, but congrats on his thesis or something.

Title: I'd Rather Fall in Chocolate
Prompt: Charles runs a candy/sweets shop. Erik is a single dad with kids that love sweets, and they drag Erik to the Charles' shop every week.
Title: Of Sharks and Scientists
Prompt: Erik is a shark at an aquarium, Charles is his feeder/trainer/handler/whatever. Would prefer a non-powered AU, but if they're still mutants that's fine too.
Something happens, and Erik is transformed into a human. However, he still keeps the single-minded predator mentality, and he's entirely consumed by the idea of finding and killing the man (Shaw) who captured him and put him in the aquarium in the first place.
Charles is in charge of Erik and doesn't stop being in charge just because of a little thing like him magically changing species, and winds up having to introduce Erik to human inventions like clothing, and also the concept of non-meat food.
Somewhere along the line, Erik starts to change from being an impossibly focused killer into someone with the full range of human emotions. Would love to see fluff and Erik trying to court Charles and not being very good at it, but if authoranon prefers they can just remain friends.
Also up to authoranon whether Erik stays human or returns to being a shark (or gains the ability to switch between both forms at will).
Bonus for Charles introducing Erik to ice-cream.
Bonus for Erik being incredibly freaked-out by the fact that humans sleep, because IIRC sharks don't sleep, they just switch different parts of their brains off but never the whole thing at once. All of the bonuses and my first-born child if Erik is so terrified by losing a huge chunk of his life to empty blackness that he begs Charles to sit with him while he sleeps and make sure that nothing tries to attack him while he's unconscious.

Prompt: No powers AU.
Charles and Erik are students at Oxford in the same timeframe of the movie. Erik is a Holocaust survivor and basically alone in the world, studying in England through some kind of scholarship/grant. Charles is originally British, from old money, who's returned from a childhood in America.
Charles rescues Erik in a way that is up to the anon, and the two of them become friends, possibly flatmates. Despite the sexual tension between them, neither thinks that their desires are reciprocated, so they are both reluctant to act on them. Erik likes Charles but feels frustrated at his friend's privileged background and casual wealth (i.e., he always insists on picking up the check) and limited comprehension for everything he's been through.
Much angst, with a happy ending please!

Race issues (Erik is Jewish, there was still a lot of antisemitism in the 60s)
Homophobia issues (the powers of the canon possibly being a metaphor for homosexuality)

Charles resists at first, but he finds Erik to be quite charming, and protects him from all other soldiers and is nothing like he first assumed.

Charles and Erik and the kids as an extraction team. The Hellfire Club can be the rival extraction team.
Charles is the extractor? Erik is the hitman? Hank is the point man? Alex is the architect? Sean is the chemist? Raven is the forger?
Give me a long fic or a snippet - how they got into the business, trained team members, etc. -- and how they hooked up through it all.
Maybe Erik wants out so he can kill Shaw without having to endanger the whole team but Charles thinks Erik just wants to leave them because Erik doesn't care for them?
Maybe Hank and Alex have to go on a mission with just the two of them and they have to learn how to work together without counting on dad or papa to put an end to their fights?

Prompt: Erik/Magneto just can't win this time. He's severely injured, can't fly and there are hundreds, maybe thousands of people surrounding him and determined to kill him.
I want to see Charles making all of them STOP. And saving Erik from the eye of storm.
Title: Our House
Prompt: SO. Erik's wife Magda gave birth to the twins, but the pregnancy nearly killed her, so they decide to not have more children. But Magda loves kids, and it leads them to adopting the Summers kids in the fully legal way. Magda dies before they can all really start being a family, and Erik is heartbroken, and somehow he ends up accindentally finding and taking in stray kids, just completely at random. First there's Angel, and then Sean, and then Hank (although he blames Alex for that one), and then kind-of-sort-of adopting Armando. And his house is not nearly big enough to deal with these children and their drama and hormones. So he looks around at properties, and finds this pretty awesome deal on this enormous mansion being rented out by CFX, and of course he grabs that deal as fast as he can because he seems incapable of not adopting a new kid every six months and he woefully admits he needs room to expand.
So they live there happily for a couple years, and then they are driving back to the mansion from town and there's a hapless-seeming hitchhiker wearing a ratty woolen sweater and old jeans carrying a battered ancient suitcase, and Wanda is all HEY DADDY LOOK IT'S YOUR NEXT KID. But Charles is obviously not a kid. And is actually kind of a flirt. Erik still gives him a place to sleep though, and Charles looks so damn amused all the time while Erik is showing him around the mansion and telling him he can stay if he helps Erik out with the massive amount of children he accidentally collects.
And they fall in love, and then Raven appears and is all "charles who are these people in our house and why do they think you're their previously homeless mother."

The kind of creepy but endless source of entertainment Sean and Alex/Jeff and Lester (OK, they probably couldn't pull off creepy, but they could definitely pull off rubbish band that thinks it's awesome),
The kind of sexy goth that's bored out of her skull, and disgusted at previous two Anna/Angel (suddenly seeing where the creepy could work for Alex and Sean),
And then there's this Erik/Sarah/Casey fusion, with this totally macho, gun happy, grunting, CIA agent that has to take care of this nerd and can't believe he's falling for him.
And clearly I've thought about this way too much. (Damn, I've left Hank out. Fill him in somewhere if you can, please. He might work as Bryce. Sorta. A bit.) And I"ve completely taken over someone else's prompt, for which I apologize.

Prompt: Exactly as it says. Just Charles, Erik, and the Wild, Wild West. Or alternatively, cowboys! Charles and Erik. Not like Brokeback Mountain, but more like The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly. Erik passes by Charles everyday, and everyday he buys a flower from him. Little by little, Erik falls in love with Charles and stars to help him with money and stuff like that, making Charles fall in love with him as well. And then Erik leaves to follow a cue and kill Shaw, and when he comes back, he is a little crazy himself, with nowhere to go. Then he finds out that Charles now own a flowershop and lives in a big house that he inherited from his father and best of all, Charles can is cured, he can see again. When Erik firts enters the flowershop, obviously Charles doesn't recognize him, but when they touch hands, Charles know that the man that help him so much is Erik, and then it's Charles turn to help Erik.

Prompt: love interesting kinky dynamics, and I lovelovelove interpretations of different societies and cultures that different D/s AUs come up with. But most of the ones I've seen here so far have Doms and Subs either assigned or as soulmates, and I'd like something a little more...mundane.
I'd like a BDSM society AU where people date. Some people play around, some people want to go steady, people have different kinks and sometimes that's enough to be sexually incompatible and mostly people who are similar compromise and make it work even if though their desires aren't identical. Everybody negotiates and maybe changes their boundaries over time. It's all very...normal. Only kinky. And what people like in bed/their sexual identity doesn't have rigid legal ramifications (although it can certainly affect how people perceive someone, especially if it's set in the metaphorically sexist-equivalent sixties).
So. Modern or not, powers or not. Just Erik and Charles fumbling through meeting and hooking up and making a relationship work with their emotional baggage and all the uncertainties and issues and missteps of any developing relationship, only with safewords and power exchange and whatever kinks authoranon likes, and that being normal.

Prompt: Erik learns he is the last surviving heir to an enormous Lenscherr fortune, hidden by his third-cousin-twice-removed before the war. To claim it he must marry a stipulated noble before his 30th birthday, only a month away. If he doesn't claim it, the money will go to the German (and human) government, which Erik doesn't want.
Luckily he happens to have a noble on hand who fits the requirements and is a mutant... the last descendent of the House of Xavier! (Alternatively, a lawyer tracks down the only noble-blooded mutant in the USA and Charles and Erik meet for the first time at their engagement party).
Notes: So I know the title is a little silly, but seriously, you guys, omg. So so so good. Charles and Erik are adorable and awesome, the PLOT and MUTANT RIGHTS and everything is awesome, and the twist of their dreams (you'll see) keeps making me wibble. Read this fic. Definitely in the top five, too.

Prompt: Erik is a single, successful man who likes quick sex with no strings attached after perhaps a failed marriage(he can be New York's most wanted bachelor or something). Then, he meets college professor Charles and it's love at first sight, at least for him. Charles, who heard of Erik's notorious ways, wants nothing to do with him besides being friends. Cue Erik bending over backwards to steal Charles' heart.
Bonus: For Erik's parents, especially his mother, to be alive and been wanting Erik to settle down again. When they meets Charles, they immediately go like, "Erik, honey, if Charles doesn't married you and become our son-in-law and the children's faux-mother (if you include Pierto and Wanda) we'll disown you."

It starts out innocent, something to pass the time and loneliness whilst they're both on business abroad, but eventually evolves into something more. Something that makes them start to reassess their friendship.
In my head, I see them as two very busy and successful men. So they're often abroad and rarely get the chance to see each other in the flesh.
A slow burn friendship to romance would be fab.

Prompt: complete AU. Erik and Charles are older, like in their 40s. Their friends have mentioned an "Erik" and a "Charles" respectively to each of them, but as those are common names, they don't think much of it. Then they end up running into each other at a party one of their mutual friends has thrown and they are all "Erik?!", "Charles?!". And everyone is like "... you two know each other?"
It turns out that they're exs that dated back when they were younger, and it didn't work out for whatever reason.
They cautiously start talking again (totally awkward at first) and they find that they still click just as much as they did when they were younger, if not moreso now that they're mellower and wiser.
Neither one of them are taken or interested in anyone else at the moment, so eventually they slowly start to rekindle their relationship.
And this time it works out. :)

Erik Lensherr is not quiet in his, to put it mildly, disrespect for humans; those born without powers whom he considers beneath even his notice on a good day, the recipients of his outright mockery and contempt should an unfortunate human happen to bump into him on a day he is feeling less than his best. Erik is quite happy to continue along, interacting amicably with only his own kind, his friends sharing his belief that mutants, being better than humans, should not have to deal with those inferior to them, until the day he first sees Charles Xavier, Professor of genetics, a few years younger than Erik himself but looking younger even than that, gorgeous, a good deal shorter than himself, the most powerful telepath apparently anyone has ever heard of (though you wouldn't know it to look at him, he's just so tiny) -- Charles Xavier, whose amazing blue eyes immediately shutter and whose posture immediately stiffens and whose voice takes on a decidedly chill tone after Erik introduces himself.
Charles Xavier, the adopted father of a completely human toddler, born to his deceased best friend Moira MacTaggert, a woman who took a bullet meant for him -- a bullet that was aimed, not by a human who hated him for being a mutant, but by a mutant who hated him for interacting so freely with humans.

Only problem is, Erik starts to fall for Charles.
(Bonus points if Hank doesn't end up with Raven, but Alex. And Raven hooks up with some other random guy. And Moira is the guidance counsellor who writes smutty fanfiction. And Sean is the poor gym teacher who gets hit in the butt by an arrow.)
Title: Dusk Before Dawn
Prompt: Basically I want the Twilight book/film/saga (whichever goes for your fancy) where Charles is Bella Swan (hehe) and Erik plays the broody, grumpy, turtle-neck wearing Edward Cullen.
The other characters can be of your own choice but I would prefer for certain ones to be as follows;
Raven - Alice Cullen
Hank - Jasper Cullen (xD)
Angel - Rosalie
Darwin - Emmett
The others can be whoever from the FC!family group.
Obviously, Shaw will be the evil, Charles-hunting bastard that I think I love him as being. (James! That's his name!)

You can add, take and mix characters up otherwise.
Now, to put a bit of a spin on the whole thing, instead of having mutant powers, their abilities are actually part of their vampiric abilities.
Charles, as a human, has really strong telepathic and telekinetic abilities but they're latent since he's only human - so he only feels emotions and can move a tin can when he' stressed etc.
Erik has the ability to manipulate metal but also, as a secondary ability, he can hear Telepaths. So obviously he's interested in Charles when he arrives in Forks xD
