I like the light and color, however, they're very poorly cropped. When I first saw your post, I thought they weren't Harry Potter icons at all. There ends up being too much backround space in them, especially in the third one.

yep, see my caveat above. :)

they're more harry potter based rorshach tests than proper fandom icons.

Yeah, I did read before commented. I have no problem with abstract, but I don't find the excess space to be asethetic, and I personally think it ruins what could be very excellent icons.

well, ymmv. i do like the starkness of dead space, so they're very much in line with my other icons, just a different focus.

most icon makers tend to fill their icons with a lot of what i call "clutter" space and its use, is an artform in and of itself.
11, 12 and 16 are my kind of icons (were I to be as skilled.)
