Paperback Romance novels should not be more then $20
There is a wank going on in Fandom wank which is kinda along Anne Rice lines. You know, Authur gets bad review and goes banana sandwich crazy over it? That's pretty much the jist and really, I think Anne Rice did it better. What really got to me though was this woman wrote this trashy romance novel. It's Paperback and only 249 pages yet she's charging $24.95 for the book. I've an avid reader of romance novels. I've had paperbacks that were up to 500 pages that only cost $8.99. And the regency type romances that are found in the Fiction section next to literature like Austen and Frances Hodgson Burnett will go for usually between $16.00 and $19.95. What could this book that is described as "forced seduction" possible have to be worth $24.95?
It probably is the wrong thing to focus on out of the whole wank. I mean she makes all writers look like whiny thinned skin babies but the price of this book is really what awe struck me.
In other news, my dad gave me such a scare this morning. He was walking funny and looked sick. Said that he had a pain in his chest and his arm. I automatically think it's a heart attack or a stroke. He said it wasn't a heart attack because he could still breath and he hoped it wasn't a stroke. I'm the oldest. He feels he can tell me these things and I do like that he keeps me in the loop especially with his health because he's not a young man and he doesn't always take care of himself. I worry. We had a scare in Florida about 3 years ago and now I've banned him from eating meat that is less then Medium done. I just can't imagine life without my father.
Thankfully, he went to the doctor and the doctor said that his vitals were good so maybe it was just strain. He was given a perscription for Antibiotics, cough medicine and muscle relaxers. Hopefully that fixes whatever he hast because I'm still not sure. I just don't think he needs anymore stress right now but I seem to be the only one in the house that cares. No yelling, no asking him for anything everyone just chill!
