I ignore my LJ

Hello everyone. I'm sorry I haven't written a blog for a bit on here. This year has been full of ups and downs.
The last few months have probably been the most insane though.
In July, my friend Ryan went to the hospital for numerous problems and, sadly, did not recover. He passed away October 19th. I'm devastated. It's unfair. It still feels like a cruel joke, but I know it's real.

In August I lost my grandmom (dad's side). It was awful and sad, but I was more sad to see my grandpop's name on the gravestone from when he passed away. He was my best friend. It's been 13 years since he passed away and I still miss him. But now they're together again. It was nice getting to see my family, despite the sad occasion. I miss them all so much.

The weekend after that was DragonCon. I had fun, but didn't have as much fun as I would have wanted to. Ryan and Essay weren't there, so that was strange. It was great hanging out with friends I don't often see anymore. And I had fun cosplaying with my sister. It was a fun weekend and I enjoyed seeing everyone. Also, Pam (True Blood) bumped into my elbow. It was magical.

The weekend AFTER DragonCon, was Stephenie Meyer Day in Forks, WA. My friend Viktoria was unable to make it, so they asked if I would be the official Alice Cullen for the weekend. It was a blast! Staying in character and getting to hang out with some amazing people was amazing. Also getting to hang out with John Henson and the Hillywood girls was great. I enjoyed every moment of that weekend and am crossing my fingers I get invited back to do Alice next year.

Ryan passed away just a month ago, I've had friends who have lost their parents, and my sister-in-law lost her grandmother two days ago (what an amazing women Mildred was). It's been a bad year. Well, I can't say it was so bad, because it has had a lot of ups and I've made a lot of good friends.
Last week my friend Kayla came to visit and we went to see Breaking Dawn part 1 and took a trip to Vancouver for the day. It was wonderful. We checked out locations for Storybrooke, Main (Once Upon a Time) and Supernatural. Some Supernatural locations were a bust, but once we got a hit the rest came easy. It was a blast!!

So that's my update for now. There's a ton more I want to write, but that'll be for another day. How has everyone else been? I'm ready for a new year and a new start.

ryan, once upon a time, twilight, supernatural, alice cullen, dragoncon, cosplay
