Awesome weekend!!
I had such a great weekend in Florida!! Went to Sea World on Friday just hours after I got in town with my sister. My sister and I haven't spent a day at the park together in about 8/9 years!!! Can you believe that?! It was amazing. We went on all the rides (Manta several) and saw some friends. I hardly know anyone at the park now and that's so sad, but it means everyone has moved on. I'm happy for them. But it was great getting to spend the day at Sea World with my sis. I started to cry walking up to Shamu Stadium. It felt sooo weird. Going to the stadium and not seeing Dawn. It was sad. It was depressing. It was just so hard. I was hoping to see the short memorial video they did before Believe started, but they took it away. However, they did keep one picture of Dawn in the video. But gosh...it feels weird with her not being there. Not seeing her smiling face. But other than that sadness the day was amazing and fun and just straight up enjoyable.
That night we went to Cafe TuTu Tango to celebrate my brother's birthday (his was the day before) and then we went to the Lucky Leprachaun for karaoke...YES...I did karaoke for the first time ever!! I was so proud of myself. I guess I did well cause everyone cheered and my brother was so excited for me. I was so nervous. I thought I sounded awful. I think I'm tone deaf. lol.
Saturday my sis and I spent the day wandering Orlando's fabric stores. Bought a few goodies. AND, the best part, got our pictures take with the Wienermobile!!!! It was exciting. Then had dinner together. It was fun. Oh and somewhere in the middle there I took a nap. I had to recoup from the day before and the drive to FL.
Sunday was AMAZING!! Spent almost the entire day at Islands of Adventure. Did Marvel for a bit. Went on Hulk and Spider-Man (of course...those are a must). Went to Jurassic Park and had lunch. Waited for the family then off to Wizarding World of Harry Potter. BEST AREA EVER!! Had so much fun. I wanted to see everything. Wanted to eat everything. Wanted to ride everything. It was great!! Tried going onto Forbidden Journey, but some punk kid pulled the fire alarm causing an evac (oh joy!), but thanks to my sister's sweet connection (and an awesome person who was our angel that day), we got back-doored into Forbidden Journey TWICE (no line wait!!) and Express passes to everything. No line wait on any of the rides we went on.
Everything was so perfect! Every bit of decor, every tiny space, everything was so cool. I can't even explain everything in this post or it would be way too long! I was disappointed a bit with Dragon's Challenge only because until they are able to repaint the coasters and work more with the queue it will forever and always be Dueling Dragons.
Butterbeer is beyond delicious. Pumpkin Juice is the perfect sweet drink (and I brought one for the ride home).
Had dinner with the family that evening, spent a few extra hours with them Monday morning then back to Benning. Blah. My house has a funny smell and I have no idea where it's coming from. A screen fell off the kitchen window. The kennel decided to keep my dog's leash and swore I never gave them one, but I did...as I have been doing everytime I dropped her off for the last 4 years!! Ugh. Whatever. I have a head ache forming, but other than that I'm good.

OH and this was the first time I drove to FL and it did NOT rain!! Maybe the curse has been broken?!
