4th Edition D&D catch-up post!
as promised, here is the long-neglected 4th Edition D&D art post. these are images from the Players Handbook and the Monster Manual (2 of the 3 Core Books for the new edition of D&D, released last June)
this is an Epic Trickster (a Tiefling-- one of the new core player races in 4E. for the sake of establishing some continuity from the outset, some artists were called on to focus on a particular race in their selection of pieces for the core books. each of my PHB pieces included Tieflings). Many of you will recognize the model. :) sadly, for some reason this piece ended up getting bumped from the book (i think they may have cut down the amount of Epic level material that was being introduced in the book...)
and below, is a huge image that splashed across most of a two-page spread (it's a chapter header. in the new format, they are using full page-and-a-half images for the start of each chapter)
