as a followup to my previous LJ entry, i wanted to mention this mixology secret:
FRESCA MAKES ALL DRINKS BETTER. it's crazy, but true.
Or at least, it makes all Ghetto Drinks better. it may ruin high end drinks, but i wouldn't know about high end drinks.
as i said to Oracle in my last entry, as a response to her question about the bloo wine, 'how does it taste':
downside: it tastes like fingernail polish remover
upside: it tastes like the *blue* fingernail polish remover, which tastes better because it's blue.
today, i decided to mix it up a bit, and as with every drink i've ever made previously, Fresca improved it a great deal.
just about every mixed drink (or Suicide, or mixed juice/soda drink) i've ever made at home gone best with Fresca involved.
as cheap vodka is usually what i keep onhand, i've specifically noted how well Fresca does with it (i often have citrus/lime/lemon flavored vodka around... and it's always the cheap stuff). Vodka and Sprite? not good. Vodka and 7-Up with a splash of lime juice? still not good. Vodka and Fresca? delicious.
it's magic. and now you know.
