can we, as a nation, get our heads out of our collective asses?

on a fun general note: http://www.cracked.com/article_16656_6-brainwashing-techniques-theyre-using-on-you-right-now.html

it's actually kind of funny, when you look at it objectively, and then you realize just how effective it's been this cycle, as you look on how everyone's acting.

you and i need to go to a protest with signs that say 'things aren't too bad!' or 'insert complaint of your choice here'

or would that be wrong? i think you have the twisted humor for it though.

It would be frickin' hilarious! Can we wear signs that denote our 'party status' because I think it would add to the hilarity. "Ooh, lookit, Jesus would dine with Rebublicans & Democrats! No way!"

or maybe even just random stuff like 'bah weep grana weep ninni bon' or 'pancakes!'

seriously though, too many of these folks take themselves way too seriously. it's a prime example of the last technique, the 'us vs them' mentality. why can't we all get along?

Yeah, lets have a 'mixed party potluck' or something in the middle of some large street. Too bad we don't have something like Times Square in NY. I'd have banners that say "I vote for the shrubbery" with a huge pic of a Knight of Ni.

But then the oral sex...

oral sex!?! *grabs bib*

haha, i can't think of the nights of ni the same way, as the estonian word for 'so' is nii.

'we, are the nights of... so?'

yeah... it works, quite well actually.

but it's funny.

and yeah, a politcally themed potluck or buffet would be hilarious... every dish could have a clever name...

hm... i realize i'm now at a loss...

though for some reason i keep thinking of pulled pork(pork barrel burrito?) and perhaps some kind of unidentifiable dish, billed as a 'economic plan'

hm. maybe not. i got nothing.

Burn a dish and call it the economy.

nah, a super sour/bitter dish, call it the economy, then a nice big jar of aspertame(or splenda, it'll kill you too) next to it with the label 'bailout' on it.

i've got some seriously mixed feelings. i see how if it goes well, it'll be OMG money for the reserve.

but if it goes sour... ouch.

brilliant!

the liberal media and conservative media= two dishes side by side that are exactly the same.

maybe make them different colors with food dye.

i'd write something thoughtful, insightful, and well-worded, agreeing with the spirit of your statement and delving into ways to work on making us move ahead as a nation, but i think this says it all better.
