This is a 2008 SGA Secret Santa story (sga_santa) that you might have missed. The threesome is fairly rare, plus the lengthy setup for it is noteworthy and pleasing. It's not random "aliens made them do it" smut, in other words. The setup feels very episode-like and also feels like original world building. I wouldn't mind more adventures set on this planet, a sign of satisfying world creation.
