I was super productive yesterday but still have about 20% of my project to finish editing: 23 articles I want to get through today, plus there are seven new ones to create this week. I interviewed someone yesterday and have to write up my no-hire recommendation. Not strong enough writing skills, little project management and collaborative work, and not used to the intensity of juggling daily, weekly, and monthly deadlines all at once.
I had very nice meal with
marcolette at
Perché No on Sunday, and last night was fresh corn on the cob, BBQ chicken, and assorted tasty bits to nibble beforehand with wine (tomatoes, bread, olives). For dessert each night, we had fresh strawberry shortcake with Snoqualmie French vanilla ice cream.
We also watched the Stargate movie The Ark of Truth after
marcolette got my new universal Sony remote controller working. She's so good at perisistence with troubleshooting techy stuff that makes me want to scream. o.O
So,
The Ark of Truth was a decent TV movie, and I liked getting an injection of new SG-1 after a long time without new canon. The flashbacks were edited a bit abruptly, but at least they were relevant. Cam and Sam were fabulous. Daniel was Marty Stu-ish, as he can sometimes be. Vala rocked. I missed Jack. Teal'c had alarming painted on sidewalls on his head, but he was stoically heroic as usual. He actually had a revealing heart-to-heart with Tomin, and I wanted to pet Teal'c. All in all, the movie was an OK resolution to the Ori plot, which wasn't my favorite anyway. It was like a pumped-up episode, and on that basis, it worked.
