the Irish pub outing was fun

I took my ex and we both enjoyed the music and seeing our musician friends play. I didn't get a Boddington, although I was tempted, but I was driving. So I had a cup of coffee with a yummy brownie topped with ice cream, with caramel drizzled over it. That pub does have some tasty food.

I'm having bad allergies and am tired, but I am waiting for my sheets to finish drying, so I can go to bed yet. I worked on my next few 31 Flavors recs, and I'd like to say I am really enjoying the trip through the files of recs I've been saving up and revisiting my many fandoms. Lots of them I rarely read in, so it's a pleasure to have a rec for some of them. I think I know which stories I am going to rec for the rest of the month, with only a few that I am wavering on. And I only have a couple of slots left, so there will be some fandoms that get left out.

My bathrooms, kitchen, and laundry room are now painted, including ceilings, as well as the upstairs closets except for the walk-in one in my bedroom. I am pleased with the results. I am going to doublecheck the kitchen in the morning light to assess whether three coats of the red are sufficient. I think so, but the painter asked me to make sure in better light because he finished up in the evening. Total cost for this part of the painting: $437. That's as much as I can do until the asbestos-laden ceiling texture gets removed and the ceilings get replastered and painted.
